Not too shit on your thread i worked the olympics and haven't been paid properly once haven't recieved any of my ot and they never respond back to us has been over a month since last day wrked I know of 50 ppl just in my venue with the same problem

Just a quick question for you Olympic aficionado's...... Do any of you know who the two athletes are that were on those banners hanging up at the Bay and Zellers stores? I'm not talking about the huge ones that were on the sides of the Bay downtown building. These are two feet wide by four feet long. One is of a female athlete and the other is of a guy. I picked up a set (3) from my local Zellers. They've been hanging from the ceilings of the store during the Olympics and Paralympics. Now that the games are over, they were going to throw them out, so I said I'd take a set. The third banner has the words, "We Were Made for This" and Vancouver 2010 vertically the whole length of the banner, with ski mountains in the background and the Olympic Logo and HBC Logo along the bottom. Really nice banners, btw. Very thick vinyl type material. Even comes with wooden hanging rods and weighted at the bottom. Anyway, it's a free piece of memorabilia.

oh shit...those are pretty nice if you could get them autographed by the athlete.

I'd have to find out who they are first. LOL. I hope they're athletes and not some catalog models. I'll try to take pictures of the banners and post them up tomorrow.

Yeah I agree... I didn't watch the games 24x7, but their faces just don't ring any bells. They definitely look more like clothing models than athletes.

Btw, anyone know where I can get or who has one of those CANADA lanyards?? I'd be interested in one atleast, maybe two. TIA

Just a heads up, VANOC is selling off their assets this week, it'll be open to the public starting this Saturday at 9am at 7530 Hopcott Rd, Delta. Laptops, computers, TVs, tools, furniture, etc... First come first serve, inventory to be refreshed daily.

It opened yesterday to VANOC employees & volunteers, haha this one guy I know grabbed 2 TVs, for his washroom and kitchen lol.
