becuz all the douchebags became nice people in town we had a great blast HAHA but no..seriously, the party was rocking, i fucking had a great time, i partied harder when i got sick, becuz i knew, that if we dont embrace the fact that the games are special, then it wouldnt be the greatest thing to happen to this city |
as a long time member, this thread was also one of the greatest threads in revscene. i continuously checked it through out the day to see the feedback and highlights regarding the parties, news, and the games itself. it'll be sad to see this thread hit the bottom of the threads list and slowly fade off. |

Other than the pure rape to my wallet (due to the jacked up liqour prices), the last 2 weeks have been awesome and went by too fast. Partying DT, roaming the DT streets (even in the rain), checking out all the different olympic venues, the crazy hockey games, the people, watching the olympics games everywhere (on the streets, at home, at work).....it's sad to think DT will never be the same again. Olympic experiences have ended but the memories will last ever :). |

even from Kelowna, I've been saying these Olympics were in my back yard. we showed the world what it means to be canadian. everything came together in a way that will never happen again. canada beating the usa at our game on home soil in our own back yard at the olympics. the atmosphere, the people, the celebration. everything was perfect. All I've thought about for the last 2 days is what I experienced on Saturday and Sunday down in Vancouver. it brings a tear of happiness to my eye every time I think how fortunate I am to have experienced the biggest celebration Ill ever see in my lifetime. Im an incredibly proud Canadian and this weekend was the epitome of a Canadian celebration. Im sure those of us in our generation who got to experience downtown after Canada won gold on Sunday will look back the same way people who attended Woodstock did. in 20 years when my kids ask where I was when Crosby scored the goal in overtime to beat the USA for gold on home soil, Ill smile and say "I was there." that "You gotta be here" campaign was so right. ps: this was about the 5th post I've made in this thread in the last 2 days on how epic things were. and Im sure it wont be the last. I just cant help but express my feelings about it. |
Every moment for me here from the sport to the parties were epic for me and everyday i find myself reading blogs and such on vancouver anyhow, If anyone has followed what i been raving about in the hockey thread, than this Tshirt would be epic, i just ordered HAHAHA http://www.puckinghilarious.com/stor...ign=vikingstad Its none other than Norge Hockey Hero TORE VIKINGSTAD on a t shirt. little did you know, this guy tied for second in goals scored for the mens hockey |
The Olympics were like a Summer fling. It was all fun and crazy during that period, but when it's over you go to withdrawal period. :lol |

I'm in the middle of this crowd somewhere. A day I'll never ever forget... |
There are things I like to do is to read about other countries perspective on the games. Aside from the American view regardless, every athlete has their own story, or journey leading to 2010 Heres Queen Yuna |
To think, RS has showed this much pride into something - NON-BASHING OR RIDICULING SOMEONE - This 2 weeks will be part of my life forever. |

that's how i feel about the olympics as a whole it'll always be in our hearts, but it's sad seeing everything fading off (ie - going by the ozone and seeing them taking things down, then going up the road a bit more and seeing the ferris wheel at brighouse gone, and the cranberry olympic rings being dismantled) i even miss the roadblocks that made life harder as a driver, because they symbolized that there were people all over the streets most of all, i'm just happy i was alive/old enough to be able to experience how magical the past 2 weeks were. like people have said before, even if vancouver wins the stanley cup, it won't be anywhere close to the atmosphere that the city brought when we won gold in that final hockey game |

Cup pride to me would feel more than the Gold Medal. The medal felt amazing, but the Cup... the Cup I've been waiting for since I was a little kid. It's the Canucks, my Canucks, my city. To the win the cup would be no sweeter. |
