kinda...Austra had the games in '64, and again in '76

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1976_Winter_Olympics

The games were originally awarded to Denver in May 1970, but a 300 percent rise in costs and worries about environmental impact led to Colorado voters' rejection on November 7, 1972, by a 3 to 2 margin, of a $5 million bond issue to finance the games with public funds.[1][2]
Denver officially withdrew on November 15, and the IOC then offered the games to Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, but they too declined owing to a change of government following elections. (Whistler would go on to be associated with neighboring Vancouver's successful bid for the 2010 games.)

Slight difference in "brand recognition" between Tiesto and deadmau5, though...

Ch28 03-08-2010 10:53 AM

Tiesto is about 100x better than Deadmau5. They're not even on the same level.

Hrm...

Have you seen missing Dutch bikes?

RICHMOND (NEWS1130) - Richmond RCMP are looking for 21 bicycles that may have been lost or stolen during the Olympics. The bikes belong to the Dutch government and are distinctive because of their blue and yellow paint jobs.

Around 400 of them were being lent out through the Heineken House pavilion at the Richmond O-Zone. Police aren't sure if the bicycles--which aren't available in Canada--were lost or stolen.

If you've seen the bikes, you're urged to call RCMP or CrimeStoppers immediately.

I remember seeing the Dutchies riding around on those all the time, but I'd say 21 lost out of 400 ain't bad

Harvey Specter 03-08-2010 03:37 PM

Maybe some of the Dutchies flipped em for weeeeeeed.

Deadmau5 is not really a DJ, and in terms of producing, he's way better than Tiesto.

It was Team Canada that was playing, not the Vancouver Canucks.

Plus, Torontonians believe they are in the center of the universe.
