^ because bartenders always jew the porters/bussers they make and collect/sort all the tips at the end of the night while the bussers and porters have to clean the club, then at the end you get handed a stack of cash, but you never know how much they made that night, or what your "actual" share should have been good bartenders always give more than the 5% of w/e they are suppose to, but working in the club i was actually pretty good friends with some of these bartenders who consistantly gave me BARELY 5% it's not much to complain about, but 20-30 every night over the course of a while add's up |

^^^ ahh ic; there should be some sort of regulating in that id like to see Vancouver do a World Cup Soccer Event ^^ but i doubt it :/ Im sure we would do a better job than South Africa though... people aren't even going there (bbc siad 600,000 seats were still available) |
Do you guys know until when we can use our accredation passes as translink passes? |
The most hollow championships in Canada were the two back to back years the Toronto Blue Jays won the World Series in 1992 & 1993. The 1993 team had NO Canadians at all. |
LOl somebody jacked some of Crosbys Olympic gear CROSBY'S OLYMPIC GEAR GONE MISSING Alert one of the many Royal Canadian Mounted Police, real and otherwise, at the closing ceremonies of the Olympics. Sidney Crosby's gear has gone missing. The man who scored Canada's Golden Goal to win Olympic gold in Vancouver returned home without the stick and gloves he used to score them. Maybe his helmet, too, although we're not quite sure on that just yet. The good news is he did get his mouthguard back. As soon as Crosby scored the game-winning goal in overtime, Crosby's helmet, gloves, stick and mouthguard all ended up on the ice at the national celebration began. Actually, one of this gloves ended up in the end zone mesh netting above the glass. When all was said and done, and the yard sale was cleaned up, it was believed both of Crosby's gloves, including the one in the mesh, were put in a bin in the Team Canada dressing room area, as well as his stick. But somewhere, sometime, between then and when Crosby left, the gloves and stick were nowhere to be found. Hockey Canada says they are launching a full investigation to see where the equipment may be. Crosby's mouthguard was returned to him and there's talk that his helmet made it way back to Pittsburgh, but Crosby is the only one who can confirm that and he's playing right now. http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=312137 |
^^ posted that in the canucks thread..lol |

On a side note and I'm not sure if you posted this on there yet but Luongo brought his gold medal on his road trip and showed it to Kesler lol COLUMBUS, Ohio — Just in case Ryan Kesler never got a glance at it on Sunday, Roberto Luongo brought his gold medal along on this road trip. "I've shown it to Ryan already," Luongo said after the morning skate on Tuesday. As for the $20,000 he gets for being a Canadian gold-medallist, Luongo said he needs time to think about what to apply it to. "I haven't decided yet, but I'm probably going to donate it to charity," he said. Most Canuck Olympians skipped the closing ceremonies, Luongo to be with his family, Daniel Sedin shunning all things Games-related after Sweden was bounced by Slovakia. Christian Ehrhoff made sure he attended, however. "For me, the closing ceremony was pretty special," Ehrhoff said. Sedin, meanwhile, was bursting with pride over the show Vancouver put on, even if he didn't personally feel like joining in the party once he had the time. "The people were outstanding, Vancouver as a city should be really proud," he said. "If we wanted 20 Swedes [on the Canucks] we could easily get them, they couldn't say enough about the city." http://www.theprovince.com/sports/Lu...801/story.html |
Here's a iphone wallpaper if anyone wants....made it off one of the pictures posted here. http://www3.telus.net/whiew/Luongo.jpg |

There was so much energy in this city during the games which you even felt when you were sitting at home watching the games but today that energy is gone and reality has set back in. :( |

I am re watching all the events Canada won a medal to slowly ween myself off. Jennifer Heil is uber cute and you just have to feel for her not taking gold on Canadian soil. Its nice to be able to enjoy the hockey game without being on nerves but def. not as exciting of course. At least, I can pause and go to the can. And I have to agree with the above poster, this was by far the best post on RS (or the Olympic hockey thread). I too, found myself checking back every few days. Funny how little I have in common with most of RS but good to see patriotism bringing everyone together. |
