where's the best place to get a picture of the flame late at night??? |
lol commentators. "oh we'll do it later" |
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO |
Nice ceremonies. Exceeded my expectations. Not over the edge. No shame. Good looking people of Vancouver. At least from what I saw on the telecast. I truly think the adults from around the world who saw this were impressed. Aside from the one glitch, it was good. Now let's cheer our guys on for some gold! GO, Canada, GO!!!!!!! |
wow that was epic... downtown went zombie ape shit. |
so with all this rain anyone hitting up downtown after? |

Overall pretty good. that fucking up of the MOST IMPORTANT PART of the ceremony will be talked about for a long time ... but the storytelling for such a vast nation was pretty good. I too had to keep wiping a tear from my eye! |
Damn, they're showing that accident again. Poor track design, IMHO. No padding or wall, at such a corner. Athletes are saying the track is too fast and too challenging. Wow. |
I am surprise the fatality video is still available don't they usually take videos like this off to respect their family? although it's hard to take video that's been on the internet offline. |
Is the outside Olympic Cauldron going to be lit for the duration of the games at the waterfront? |
were the fireworks at bc place real? |
yes and yes |
WTF was with the French first, English translate BS. this isn't the Quebec games. the signing of O canada was horible too. |
Inside BC place I didn't even realize there was a problem until a CBC reporter asked me questions outside Posted via RS Mobile |

As for the Luge tragedy... I don't get why they left those poles exposed... I thought that all sliding tracks had high walls around it... and even higher walls around the bends? The wall at whistler where the crash took place looked pretty low... |

And I agree with you 100% on the rendition of O' Canada. Lavallee must be rolling in his grave right now. I hope the rendition of our national anthem when played at the award ceremonies is better than those from past Olympics. |
