It's not the fact that they had Natives it's because it was such a big part of it. You want to show that Canada is a smorgasbord of races have Natives dancing among people of all races. The way it was done you'd think Canada was made up of nothing but Aboriginal people. Put a big damper on the cermonies for me, combine that with the hydrolics fucking up and a bunch of idiots running beside Wayne as he was driven to the cauldron it was a pretty big fail IMO. I'd give it a 5 out of 10.

the Slovenia jumper is nuts

Marched down Robson & Granville last night just after the ceremonies and it was just an awesome Olympic vibe everywhere. Even Batman (literally, a man dressed up in a Batman costume) was in on the craze wandering around Granville street. He was swarmed with people hugging and taking pictures of him while everyone chanted the national anthem.

I don't exactly know who put this show own between the GE Plaza and VAG, but it was awesome free entertainment with fireworks, music, and Olympic mock-players riding down the zip line. It was amazing to see Robson transform into this little rave show.

^^^ he won gold for the 5000m. on the broadcast, they said he was mobbed at a grocery store when people thought he WAS crosby. when people realized he wasn't, they were disappointed. he was wondering why speed skating was so popular in canada... lols.
