No money to make it here. Someone paid her way here. Mom's got cancer....... I just heard the commentator mention it briefly after her skate. I'd have to play it back to be sure.

Indeed, I only heard it briefly when she was sitting down waiting for the score, hence the feeling bad part about cheering against her :/

it's cuz the rest of the world doesn't care about women athletes ... and neither does canada for 3 years and 350 days of the year.

Yeah it was definitely cool moment.... but the political correctness cops don't think so. For Christ sakes, that man just won a gold medal, let him drink his beer

the thing is Poulin is still 18, and she is holding a can of beer.

We all know how faggy the olympic commitee is. -___-

Maliuz 02-25-2010 09:11 PM

Don't they have better stuff to report? It's not like they're going out, wasted and causing trouble.

for sure, and it seemed so "canadian" lol

i dont know if the IOC did it or just like encouraged him to say it wasnt right, all i heard was he apologized or said it wasnt appropriate or some shit

fliptuner 02-25-2010 09:18 PM

Fuck that, they're not even in public. They won - let them celebrate!!!!

Someone's always got something to bitch about. Even the COC spokesman can understand why they're celebrating.

BTW re: US girl = 4th place in skating.

Her personal best was around 106 and she needed 138.8 to get the bronze. She ended up with a 126 (+/-) which she should still be proud of.

K boys and girls. Im coming to Vancouver for the weekend. Ill be in town about 10pm tomorrow night apparently staying near the Joyce skytrain station. will be down Friday night, all day Saturday and Saturday night, and leaving early Sunday morning.

What to do? Obviously things like waiting 6 hours for the zip line is out of the question

falcon 02-25-2010 09:25 PM

Richmond rub n' tug.

fliptuner 02-25-2010 09:28 PM
