Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor if anyone hasn't done it yet
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...e-advisor.aspx

it didn't detect that I was running a non-genuine xp so it should be fine. i'm just worried I won't have enough ram, i only have 2GB (easy upgrade fix since i have 2 more ram slots)

Should I be running x32 or x64? (my xp is x64)

Pentium D 830 dual core 3ghz
2GB RAM
512 nVidia 7600 GT

?

Gh0stRider 10-21-2009 11:41 PM

I currently have Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit. If I get this Windows 7 32 bit, can I just do an upgrade or do I have to do a clean install? Also, would I need my Vista CD? I don't have that with me currently.

VooDood 10-22-2009 12:10 AM

wait.... can i get windows 7 ultimate? or is it only professional?!!?!?

when it says custom install, does that mean it does a CLEAN FULL install? I hope so because that's what I need...I don't have enough hard drive space on my "OS HDD" right now unless everything gets wiped.

You can just download a pirated ISO, they are the same thing. Just use the key that was given to you when you purchased your legit copy.
