This is going too far. I am an African American and I am highly offended by these comments. Now I'll have to get back to drinking my Kool-aid while stealing a bike.

One of the perks of going to church's is that they are one of the few places in the city that still deep fries their apple pie.

mmmmms.

That depends on if you're in the mood for cinnamon sugar or not but on the other hand, they're open pretty late (if not 24/7).

Wow, u guys r good. I always buy 4pcs meal cuz I'm greedy but I can never finish the last piece. I feel so greasy that I wanna throw up if I continue.

corollagtSr5 08-06-2010 03:47 PM

Lee's chicken the one that closed down by metrotown was good, i'm not to sure about the other locations though.

Culverin 08-06-2010 03:58 PM

there were other locations?

I'm really curious if there are any diners or small restaurants that can get it right.

Roosters Quarters did a pretty mean bbq chicken, maybe I'll head back and see if they've got fried.

Also, it's not southern fried, but the place near the Triple O's at the food court of aberdeen does some really juicy fried chicken wings.
it's also pretty cheap too.

Bumping this, wanna try something new outside of Church's, which most of us know is good. Is LA Chicken in Richmond still up to snuff? I might make a trip out there on the weekend. Failing that, any new places pop up since the last post?

IMASA 01-05-2012 05:30 PM

I prefer Church's vs LA Chicken, however, in the 3 times I've been to LA Chicken, they've always given me an extra 1-2 pcs.

unit 01-05-2012 05:46 PM

yeah that happens at least half the time that i go.
i eat there every few weeks since its so close.
chicken is never dried out from sitting under a lamp like at most places, and is often fried up on the spot.

jack3d 01-05-2012 05:47 PM

spicy thigh burger from churches, best burger ever hands down from any fastfood chain

Renxo 01-05-2012 05:50 PM

If you order 4 or more pieces, you will get an extra piece. Think of it as kind of like a baker's dozen :D

supafamous 01-05-2012 05:54 PM

Church's is nice but LA is best. The crispy stuff is great especially when the oil is a little dirty.

Thanks for ruining it for me....and I thought I was special, ha ha

Vege 01-05-2012 07:10 PM

I am a fan of Lee's Chicken. There are still two locations, one in Coquitlam and one in Surrey. Both fry your chicken only when you order so it's nice and crispy when you get it.

DavidNguyen 01-05-2012 07:13 PM

Also one in abbotsford and chilliwack for lee's chicken

Isn't there a chicken place on knight and 49th? Not KFC
But some new chicken place

not true. it often happens when i order 2 or 3 pieces.
once i ordered a 2 piece and i got 4 pieces.

suprasian 01-05-2012 07:56 PM

yes once in a while they'll throw in an extra piece if they have chicken that's been sitting for a while and don't want to sell it anymore. i usually get the 2 piece lunch special but upgrade the drumstick for another thigh. so damn satisfying!
