anyone know what time the tim horton's opens up at BCIT? gotta be at school around 6 tomorrow morning and gonna need coffee

CorneringArtist 01-14-2011 09:31 AM

it was open by the time i get there to work out at 6, but of course you probably would have found out by now.

And thanks to an oversight by the Auto Foundation instructors, I now get every second Friday off, starting today. There has to be one hour of non-contact time with students each day for instructors to do paperwork, and the auto ones have a hard time doing that because of all the time we spend in the shop. So, they decided to make each second Friday an assignment day so they can slot it in :fullofwin:

!Nhan 01-14-2011 10:00 AM

If I understand the process correctly, if you move, you're supposed to leave your receipt on your dash so you don't get a ticket.

Tenured students - please correct me if I am wrong. I always purchase an e-ticket to prevent matters such as this from arising.

I suck at remembering building numbers, but is NE18 the one with the four hoists on the left side and the Toyota section when you first come in from NE24? If you just started an automotive program, you must be one of the people doing the aluminium block project over on the far side. I had my silver Passat in the shop the last couple days, couple of RS stickers on it if you looked at it.

EDIT: Just looked at a campus map. You're in my shop building. LOL. I don't know if you were doing block work that day, but did you see the crazy c-lai in the shop? She was giving shit to a classmate of mine because he was dating her daughter. I should have taped that shit haha.

yeah, i saw that silver passat with the RS lanyard in the ignition and all the RS stickers. i think you were doing something with your tires that day. Naw, i didn't see that crazy c-lai, kinda wish i did now though because that probably would've been hilarious

CorneringArtist 01-14-2011 08:23 PM

It WAS in for a thermostat install (it DIDN'T have one when I was replacing it), but then my tire went flat for some reason.

For you automotive students:

I don't know if they still allow this, we use to fill out work orders for our cars and we get to park it the shop for a week. Usually we just put something simple like oil change one week, plugs the next. Most of the time they didn't mind as long as you could move cars in and out.

CorneringArtist 01-15-2011 06:04 PM

They changed it so the pass only lasts maybe 1-2 days.
