anyone know if it is still possible to take courses even though I've failed the prereq?
I've e-mailed the program head and I'm waiting for his reply.
if it is possible then I'll try to persuade him into letting me take the 2nd year courses

How do you expect to take 2nd Year courses if you failed the Pre Reqs?

^ GL. I'm in the last 2 weeks of the program. If they give you word of your instructor early, mention the name. A lot of staff shuffling during my program caused me to get 4 different instructors at random times for random lengths of time.

^ Different instructors can be a pain in the ass. I've had 4 so far in my course as well. They all have different teaching/marking styles. Some more thorough than others and some that basically make you learn on your own.

We had a different instructor the whole length of our last course. He was a fun guy to talk to, but when it came down to the final of that course, half the class of 14 failed, and those that passed barely did (we're talking 70-78% with fail being 70).

Have to send BCIT my transcript but since Canada Post is on strike and I don't have a fax machine, I can just stop by and give it to them in person right?

bcrdukes 06-16-2011 08:24 PM

Yes.

Or ask if you can send them via e-mail a scanned copy.

Decided to go there instead just so I could see the area and my friend goes there as well so he gave me a run down on a few things. Can't wait to start :D

Edit: I forgot that it was a paid lot and I was there for about half an hour.... didn't get a ticket :troll:

Nice! I always see the parking lot guys around on bikes giving tickets :)

I was there last year for Land Surveying diploma. Just have one semester I need to redo next year so I'll be back at the Burnaby campus from Jan - May. Courses have been pretty good, definitely the workload was more than during my degree, but not CRAZY like a lot of people say about BCIT courses.

Got my common core diploma in the mail while I was away, fuck dont feel like doing second year as in the last 2 weeks I've been offered two separate jobs from my uncle working in the interior making most likely better money than I will ever make working in telecom :/

Hi guys, I'm in need of some help.

Since the deadline for paying my fees for langara have passed, I've decided to finalize my decisions to go to BCIT. However, I am not quite sure on what to take. I am thinking of either taking Aircraft Maintenance, Airport Operations, Electrical, or Plumbing. Although, I do not have any knowledge on what these courses would lead me to. I'm not quite sure if I could handle the course load itself, and I am in need of some opinions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :fullofwin:
