Average low temp for November is +4.8C, we are in the negative right now, it is unusual. However, the lowest recorded temperature was on Nov. 28 1985 at -9.9C. So it is not the end of the world as we know it yet, haha.

Projected to be low of -10 tmr :( fml. I need an automatic starter so I can wait inside my house for my car to warm up

If you have two sets of keys, use one to start the car before breakfast, and the other to lock it. Then by the time you finish eating it'll be warmer.

BTW Petro-Can gas is watered down crap.

Really? My company uses Petro-Can for all the canadian fleet vehicles (diesel) and I've been using petro-can gas almost 99% of the time in my current car and past cars. No problems from this "watered down crap".

Good, then 90% of the drivers without winters can stay at home and let the rest of us get to work faster.

I also need a remote starter :(

Berzerker 11-22-2010 12:15 PM

A Winter Storm Warning is now in effect from Everett southward through Olympia until 10pm tonight, as a Weather Trifecta is moving through today: Snow, Wind & Cold.

Here's the deal for today: Snow showers will pick up in coverage and intensity (especially south of Seattle) as that low pressure center passes by to our south and west. The highest snow totals will be closer to the low center, so Olympia, Chehalis, and Kelso have the best chance at significant accumulations today. The wind will pick up considerably this afternoon, and it will get even colder as a second surge of cold air will spill into Western Washington later today. Here are some snow & wind specifics.

Looks like the system is moving south and west, so unfortunately, It won't be hitting Vancouver.

its so fucking cold i almost made a new thread called the cold thread.

StylinRed 11-22-2010 01:24 PM

Summary

Cold wind chill values below minus 20 degrees will occur today through tonight.

Details

A deepening Arctic airmass combining with moisture from an upper disturbance southwest of Vancouver Island is producing strong winds. Winds of 60 to 70 gusting to 90 km/h are combining with the cold temperatures to give wind chill values down to minus 20 degrees over the central coast and over the inland sections of the north coast. These conditions will spread to the Howe Sound Whistler and Fraser Valley area throughout the afternoon as temperatures drop and winds increase. Meanwhile snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm have already fallen across parts of Southern Vancouver island with as much as 15 cm at Port Alberni. A further 5 to 10 cm is possible before snow eases off later this afternoon. Further north only 2 to 4 cm of snow has fallen with flurries while the snow has eased at Powell River and the snowfall warning is ended.

feel really bad for the homeless and those who have to work outside

In squamish right now. Wind is horrendous. Went out to buy some stuff and it felt like my face was burning off. Sat in the car and could feel the whole thing wobble cuz of the wind.
