be safe out there. Take small/slow steps! orrr get better gripping shoes :p |

Do some people not understand the risk of walking up or down an icy hill especially if I need the momentum to go up, I won't stop my vehicle for you lol |
Joyce area is so fucked..every street is coated in black ice.. |
The sidestreets and alleys in eastvan don't even require steering. Just get into the ruts and let Jesus take the wheel. |
Mckay by David Gray park is so sketchy.... |
wendy's on grandview and boundary. yesterday, i tried turning in from grandview, saw an suv with hazards slowly coming down the ramp trying to exit. waited for a while for them to come out, got impatient, proceeded towards the boundary entrance instead. drove in, tried to loop around the restaurant to get to the drive through. well, i found out the reason for why the suv was exiting onto grandview so slowly. anyhow, sliding down the ramp side ways was not fun, noped the fuck out of there. |
Couldn't even make it up a moderate hill with the sheet of ice with my Xi-2s. Crazy....I probably could have made it with a running start but could have also steered into the parked cars beside. |

I was driving down a back lane yesterday with a slight decline and even with my Xi3's I still slid a good 10 feet on some ice when braking. Be careful out there and leave a lot of extra room - even if you've got some winter tires! On a seperate note, anyone know anywhere that's still got snow shovels? I've managed to break both of my shovels over the last week shoveling snow. Checked a bunch of places around Vancouver and everyone is out. :flamemad: |
Dont go over speed bumps or driveways at angles, my car flexed a little bit this morning and now i have a tiny crack in my windshield |
thankfully, i can turn off traction controls and drift around small corners :p |
On my way out this morning, saw a guy throwing hot/warm water all over his car to defrost or melt the ice. :noyoudidnt: |
Reminds me of some guy I saw over the weekend chipping away at the couple inches of ice/snow on his windshield with what looked like a license plate frame. #fail |
Took me 5 minutes to exit my neighbourhood today, what should usually take 30 seconds. ABS kept kicking in every time I tried to stop. Even at 10 km/hr. Tried to stay away from any hills. I can still see all the blade marks on the round-a-bouts from the neighbourhood kids ice skating during the weekend. |

Watching the game last night I saw Wendy's 4 dolla double stack deal. Had to try it, so here I am at the Grandview and Boundary location, parked next to the tree there to shade me from that blinding sun. Anyway, the parking lot is absolutely frozen and dangerous. As I open up the bag to get the burger out I see from my side mirror this Civic skidding out of control toward me. Driver was going way too fast for the conditions. After he comes to a complete stop, he tries to go up the hill. He was going nowhere. Total douche. I roll down driver,s window and give him the thumbs up. Looked like he didn't have snows. Save money and park there. No need to pay good money to see a circus. This is free and way more entertaining. |

i haven't seen the grass in front of my place in almost a month lol |
There were kids full blown playing ice hockey with skates on my street in Langley last night, it's about a 2 inch thick ice rink lol |
was in portland over the break and managed to score an solid shovel and a few tubs of ice melt at target. |

There's also a touchless (with under carriage spray) in Coquitlam on Lougheed near North Road called Wash World. Probably an ice rink by now though. I went on the cold snap week just before the second dump of snow in December and my traction control light came on a few times as I was slowly exiting the wash bay as the car was being dried. |
Probably this one North Shore Auto Wash ? Touchless Car Wash North Vancouver, BC Quote:
