Snowing again in North Surrey

KDMofo 03-08-2017 10:51 PM

Picture from January but got my snow plow out again this week. Took off my winter tires because I didn't think I would be driving until spring and wanted to repaint the wheels but I changed my mind and had to get them mounted again.

Tireclinic in surrey btw, $60 for mount & balance. I thought it was such a good deal that I told them I didn't care if they scratched my wheels, they mounted with out a single scratch.

Climate Prediction Center

Looks like a small chance over the next couple of weeks.

fliptuner 03-10-2017 01:10 PM

If you're asking in regards to changing your snow tires (again), I'd wait til the end of the month and reassess then.

That entire intersection is a minefield. I drive it 4 times a day and I clench so hard every time, fucking hell.

You don't fill pot holes this cold and wet. It will just crack and need be refilled again when the weather gets warmer. Doing it now is just a waste of money.

People should just slow down, pay attention to the road.

Luckily this will be the last winter ever:

Meh, if anything this year is a testament to the fact that climate change has been overblown for political reasons

I keep expecting to wake up to the sunny warm days of California, and 15 years later we keep having Canadian winters... when do my carbon tax dollars finally spring into action here?

They did that on the oak st bridge by putting up bumpy road warnings, Northbound Left lane is hazardous...

Not sure if you're being sarcastic, but climate change and global warming do not mean that places that were once cold automatically get warm. The overall warming of the earth manifests itself in unpredicatable weather systems for the most part. While this winter has followed the general trend for Vancouver, the amount of snow for Vancouver has been somewhat unexpected.

Tongue and cheek mostly... I'd much rather people focus on the real issue, which is over population than a mild side affect that will turn "transform Vancouver into San Diego" just in time for my retirement

Not looking forward to another 35 years of climate change doom and gloom... opps, we had a bad winter, better bust out another new article on the dire impact of climate change. OH we got lots of snow this year.... but in 30 years, there may not be so much! I agree that c02 is having an effect on the climate, but I've grown tired of hearing about it after a decade of people taxing and shaming everybody for it at this point. How about.... in 10 years the population of the earth will reach a critical state and the starving masses of the world will likely descend upon our country in droves?

thumper 03-15-2017 10:54 AM

just in time for spring...

fliptuner 03-15-2017 07:56 PM

Cotdamn. Now we're getting thunder and lightning and it's pretty close.

Inaii 03-15-2017 07:57 PM

I'll take that over snow any day :p
