we're not even one week into winter yet

I woke up to about 4" of snow on the ground and my vehicle frozen solid due to freezing rain..

screw this, putting my summers back on and rolling my windows down

It’s just been raining in Richmond all night/day. I guess that’s okay....

Line up to go down a hill. cars sliding all over the place. A lot of people got caught. Left there house when it was raining. 20 minutes later the ground is covered in snow.

Slow start this year if it's going to be anything like last year.
I think we got 4 waves of big snow dumps that went from mid Dec to early Feb.

Checking longterm forecast, I don't really see any big snow days incoming. I'm expecting more of that rain/slush snow that sticks around for a day or so kind of deal.

You could try putting some small chains or rings on the wiper arms and sliding one down every so often when the ice collects.

There's a lot of snow, freezing rain, ice slushy mix, semis forcing you to go into the shoulder. But if you're taking the RS with winters you should be fine. The e46s rear end kept slipping and traction kept cutting out, but the STI we're with was fine.

Just watch out cause snow is really heavily packed and it's tall. And your windshield and wipers will freeze

Dumping snow again in Squamish, starts at Furry Creek all the way to Whistler. Lots of ice under the snow on the highway and very slow going. We got 30cm yesterday and expecting another 15cm+ today through the night. Lots of cidiots spun out in the ditches, one car almost off the cliff right now by Murrin southbound and traffic is stopped. Basically, I wouldn't head to Whistler tonight from Van.

Hasn't stopped snowing in Chilliwack since 11.

Aldergrove - My power went out 20 min ago. Power lines and trees are down all over the place because everything is covered in ice.

Best to have a codriver who can run maps / waze and tell you upcoming bends, cause these corners are blind esp if there's a semi in front of you.

Lots of snow dumping down near Coldwater River Provincial Park and Coquhilla Lakes, on Hwy 5 S, roads has tons of pow but there's shit visibility
