There's a FREE handy app from the Mac AppStore called CloudApp. It integrates with Finder to upload large files within the OS and gives you a link to share that file. You have access to delete it when not needed anymore too. It's like YouSendIt but only a right click away. There are limited to the free app though like 10 - 25MB files max/day. |
Hey guys if any of you are paranoid about people viewing your webcam I found this cool thing: theiPatch its called the iPatch .. can't comment on quality or anything because I just ordered it, but seems like a good idea. Also, for those of you running antivirus/spyware & malware protection what do you recommend? |

Norton Anti virus ore than half a million Macs are infected with the Flashback Trojan, a malware package designed to steal personal information, according to a Russian antivirus company. The company -- Dr. Web -- originally reported today that 550,000 Macintosh computers were infected by the growing Mac botnet. But later in the day, Dr. Web malware analyst Sorokin Ivan announced on Twitter that the number of Macs infected with Flashback had increased to 600,000, with 274 of those based in Cupertino, Calif. include 274 bots from Cupertino     |
Its no faster than when MS releases security fixes. Honestly, I don't use flash much anyway, so it doesn't/didn't affect me. |

MacKeeper is a life safer...Been using that program for years; especially handy before when my hard drive was only 120GB. - Full clean app uninstalls - Locates and finds useless junk taking up space on your hard drive. - Anti-Virus/Anti-Theft Included - Data Control (Recover files, permanently delete files, back up and encrypt files) - Finds duplicates - Finds what things are taking up the most space and organizes them by size. - Optimizes your computer keep it running fast and smooth... If you don't have the delivery system, how would the payload be delivered to you? :agree: Quote:

Does anyone know if my Macbook Pro 15" 2010 can support an external USB2.0 or Firewire 800 docking stand for a WD Green 3TB? I keep hearing about 2TB max. If anyone is using an external enclosure for their 3TB hard drive on a Macbook please let me know where I can get that enclosure. Thanks!! |
It shouldn't matter. It's more of a concern of what enclosure you use and that the os supports the size which it should. |
I tried the ThermalTake BlackX Duet USB2.0/eSATA docking station and it worked perfectly with a 3TB HD formatted to Mac. |

Lately my 7 year old HP laptop running Windows XP is giving me the BSOD almost everyday and it's starting to annoy me cause it takes about 2-3 minutes to fully load up each time it does it. I'm thinking of getting a 13" MacBook but not sure if I should go with the Air or Pro. I mainly surf the net and sync my iPhone and that's about it. My current laptop is using about 55GB of storage. I'm leaning towards the Air but figure I can get more for the same price if I get the Pro. I'm thinking of going the craigslist or apple refurbished route since I only want to spend max $1000 all in :D . Or would buying a new HP Laptop for about $400 all in be better? What would you guys and girls recommend? Thanks |
^ why did you decide on a mac mini + thunderbolt display instead of an iMac? |

To give you an idea, my last monitor was a dell 3007, that I bought since it came out and replaced it late last year. And I only replaced it because I got tired of the constant glitch between Mini displayport and the dual-link DVI adapter. I'd have kept it as it still worked like new. System on the other hand: PC core-2-duo-->PC quadcore-->Macbook Pro i5 15-->Macbook Pro i7 17-->Mac Mini+MBA. |
Hmmm. My Macbook Pro is feeling it's age, and I'm wondering what my next step should be. Do I add SSD for ~$150 to help boost it's speed back? I would buy a newer SSD for my desktop and migrate my Intel 320 120GB SSD to my Macbook Pro, and then run an Optibay for storage. Or do I get an Ultrabook? Decisions... |
mackeeper? :heckno: to hehe overkill, but the thunderbolt display is fucking sexy. I want one pretty damn bad |
i got the 13' macbook pro in september 2011. lately I've been curious to know if i should've gotten a macbook air 11' instead. Because for one, i haven't used the cd drive a single time since i've gotten the laptop and i don't really do any intense video editing. or any for that matter. |
