I'm currently using a Blackberry, and I feel like switching over to iPhone. Thing is my BB plan is dirt cheap. I know if I switch to iPhone its goning to probably be double of what I pay now. That's the only thing that's stopping me from switching. What do you guys think I should do?

upgrading from my 3g. Next one i'll get should be the 6 if apple follows the same cycle iphone 5 -> 5s -> 6

LiquidTurbo 10-04-2011 09:08 PM

I hope they reset the cycle back to June for phone refreshing.

They killed off the iPod classic it looks like.

Can only assume that they're working hard on the iPhone 5, probably announced next year in June.

Releasing iP4s was only to buy time (and more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$) for them.

Also, Siri looks siri-ously useless at this point. Want to check the weather? HOw about tapping the damn icon to open the app?

Voice diction for messages and email might be useful, but Android had those already for a long time.

twitchyzero 10-04-2011 09:22 PM

in a week they'll likely announce the next Nexus phone...those specs should put the 4s to shame...

LiquidTurbo 10-04-2011 09:52 PM

Hey, I picked up the iPhone 4S already, you wouldn't believe it.

Spoiler!

How much are you paying.
Im paying $30 for my phone plan and another $30 for 6gb of data = $60 total

For $60 a month...I surf and watch porn without ever going over my limit. :alone:

I think we can all agree to disagree. I used to like keyboard too but after using the iPhone for a while I can never go back. I was using the blackberry bold 2 weeks ago and I thought that it was so slow having to press the butttons down and having to press "alt" all the time :/

Never say never.

there too much hype about apple products...

it should already be expected that theres an upgrade model instead of a newer one being released. It happen with the 3G model... then when iPhone5 hits, after that, theres going to be an iPhone5S that will come out...

Apple holds out some features so they can release this "S" line to milk more money from the fanboys.... that and they just need to clear out left over stock...
so really, when iPhone5 hits, dont buy it, just wait for the iPhone5S to be released..

Do it. If you take advantage of wifi, you can get away with 500mb, but ideally you'd want atleast a gig.

SkinnyPupp 10-05-2011 07:40 AM

For the most part it's the same, except it has a single core A4, 256MB Ram, and a different camera lens.

For some reason, people found the 4's performance to be acceptable (I wouldn't) so she probably won't notice a difference.

Wrong, iPhone 4 has same amount of ram as 4s.
512MB

SkinnyPupp 10-05-2011 08:19 AM

ok

So the 4s isn't even as good as I assumed

joquio 10-05-2011 09:20 AM

So true.
LOL at iPhone 4S.

Now waiting for the announcement of Google Nexus Prime (Samsung Galaxy Nexus) next week.

If it is indeed metal body and higher res screen then it's done deal for me.

the conventional keyboard is considered a slow input method.
technology will improve on it, and you'll eventually be able to input a sentence almost as fast as you can think it.

I recall iOS 5 having a feature that allows you to type, for example, "omw" and it will turn into "on my way" automatically.
