I doubt it, considering the 3G only supports up to iOS 4.2.1.

Correct. Just like how iPhone 2G stopped at 3.1.3, the 3G is done at 4.2.1.

If this pattern continues the 3GS should end before before iOS 6

undoubtably the big 3 will all carry it. they cannot afford not to. its just a matter of when they get it, meaning who bids highest to pay the Apple tax.

I just pray you all think hard about tying yourselves into another 3 year contract just to save 50% off a phone.

Nah, gonna renew contract, get the iPhone 5, sell it for a much higher price in the first few weeks, cancel contract, get the pentaband Galaxy S2 from Telus, join Mobilicity.

Done!

Apparently there is a reservation system. Costs you $40 to reserve and it's refundable regardless if you keep the phone, return it, or cancel it.

No way to reserve yet. Supposedly they'll send me a txt when the reservation system is up. Don't know why I got one and none of my buddies did (yet).

They did mention a $40 fee to reserve your phone.
