Parm104 hit the spot Its a benefit to see employee purchases. Its put out by vendors so store reps have something to talk about to increase sales, build a connection between retail/corporate and brand awareness within the retail level. if it was a company policy in which all retail reps were to have one. then the company should be responsible in providing the product. not the retail reps. regardless...webOS is dying...doesnt matter which company licenses the OS. Android will still be the primary focus for major manufactures. Also, when the last palm launched on rogers, I was never contacted by Palm to even talk about or explain the product. If there was a focus even before the palm launch in canada, this might not have happened so soon. Now this is just from the wireless industry perspective, im not sure how Palm/HP handles with the other vendors |
Christ the Touchpad is SLOW. |
hahaha, our store phone never stopped ringing after people found out haha |

IT's just not as snappy as an iPad 2. STill. for 99, I'm really not complaining at all! But still. ti takes 1:30 to boot up. An update takes 15mins to install? Sometimes the apps lag slightly. Really, for a tablet, since everything is touch, it needs to be snappy. |

Even before HP released the OTA update this week, homebrew solutions existed to deal with performance issues and add features to the TouchPad. Developers had identified areas where webOS fell short in running as fast or as well as it should, and released fixes called patches for them. I found a couple of these patches made a big difference in the operation of the TouchPad, due to background system logging that was happening. These patches turned that logging off and the difference in performance was significant. I applied the OTA system update as soon as it was available and was impressed with the improvement over the TouchPad as released by HP. I then applied homebrew patches to make it even better and the result was spectacular. My TouchPad was running almost as well as the iPad, which is the goal in the tablet world." Sounds like you're right. Gonna OC itnow. |
can this device be hack into an adriod |
they're working on the hack to run android, which would fucking rock as for the overclock, anyone know where to get the update and anything extra you gotta do? some info would be awesome |
dam lol $69 for it would be sweet got lazy and stay in lol whose working on the android hack? any source? |
So many dipshits bought this in order to flip it on craigslist. I feel sorry for whoever buys it off them for anything more than $120 for the 16GB version or $200 for the 32GB version. |
Are there any more coming in stock?...missed the sale :okay: |
