So, got an email from Electrify America. They were wAndering why I haven’t been using their chargers. I used to go twice a week to shop in Bellingham and go to the casino. I took their survey. Here’s what I posted in the comments section. Quote:

Forgot to mention that there was a drop down menu………. No longer drive an EV, have charger at home, too expensive, yada, yada, yada. I chose, “other,” and typed in Trump. I should have added “and the GOP”. They’re probably going to cancel my membership, ijbol. |
Got my new Airpods Pro 3 - damn the noise cancelling on these is great. Finally upgrading from my broken Airpods Pro 1s and the difference is huge in terms of sound and ANC and transparency mode. |
im waiting for my airpod pro 1's to break first. damn things wont die. |

When I need new airpods: hey kiddo, do you want Airpods? Kid: are we getting the new Airpods Pro? Me: Sure. :fuckthatshit::lawl: Only thing is not let Mrs. Hobz know about this. Else it's: hon, new iphone is out! I think it's time for you to get a new phone! You: really? :tears: She: Yeah, you can take mine and I will get the new iPhone 17. |
Not having kids means you don't need to run a non-profit enterprise so money can go towards anything instead of buying food for kids that always seem to need more. |

Especially when you have multi-kids, where just preserving the family legacy is not enough. Thus, it motivated me to keep going even though if it was just me and my wife, we have gotten our "fuck you" money long ago. Probably not enough to live in absolute luxury, but enough for day-to-day expense without ever working again. With kids, it just made me to want more. I have actually set my financial goal for the next 10yrs on surpassing my parents networth at some point. Kinda my last crusade/rebel against my parents when they told me and my brother that we need to learn how to work on our own because their wealth would go to charity to help others. So that one day I could tell them, "it's ok. I can do just fine by myself." |

ANC wise, I can't tell a difference between Pro 2 + Comply foam tips, and the pro 3. |
Sorry for bringing doughnuts back into the fray, but been noticing the old Pizza Hut building on Hastings Street and Alpha? in North Burnaby being renovated. It used to be a Terry Bitch office after Pizza Slut closed down. Now, it's being prepped to become a Vegas Donut. I've seen it around in other areas. Any experience with this place? Good, Bad, Ugly? As in give it five months before they go out of business. |

But oh well... it's their money. They do whatever the heck they please. I already put most of my new ventures into trusts. My kids are those "trust fund kids" now. :fuckthatshit: Let's just hope everything turns out as I planned. |
Hope is not a metric. |

Are they open yet? If so I'll pop by and try a few and report back :) |

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ryK4biOFTA0 I can see the same thing happening with restaurants. First place: a new pizza spot. I show up around 5 PM. The name literally has slice shop in it, but they had zero slices. They tell me they’re “focused on dinner orders,” but if I want, I can order a whole pizza and wait 45 minutes. Why the fuck call yourself a slice shop if you don’t have slices? Second place: a new brunch joint. They’re open 8 AM to 2 PM—six fucking hours. I roll in 35 minutes before closing and they say they had a busy day so they’re not serving anyone else. You motherfuckers can’t even serve food for six hours straight? Third place: a fried chicken spot run by a couple from India that use to rent an apartment from us. Food’s great. Hours are 10 AM to midnight, and on weekends they’re open till 3 AM. Why? Because what the fuck else are they going to do—go home and watch TV? Rent for the building isn’t charged by the hour, and the equipment’s already bought. Staying open makes sense. People shit on places like Tim Hortons, but at least when you go there you know two things: they’ll be open, and they’ll have food. |

Re: Lee's - I had a couple on Saturday and, maybe it's nostalgia, but it definitely doesn't seem to be as good as I recall. It's above a Timmy's but below a Duffin's now. |
Whenever I fly from cowtown to YVR, which isn’t often as I usually have to drive with doggos, I am thankful for the Lee’s at the airport that I can grab a churro donut from. |

I am convinced that Tim Horton’s onboarding training includes a section teaching them how not to cut a sandwich all of the way through. |
It’s funny hearing people talk about how Tim Hortons fell off as if it wasn’t inedible garbage 25 years ago. |
