Saying there’s no difference in doughnuts is like saying there’s no difference in bread. Sorry you don’t have a palate peasants.

Yeah, been to that Pink Pony Club........ wait............. nvm. That song was stuck in my mind. Catchy tune and all.

They're good, especially when day olds are on sale in the morning, ijbol.

I also like the place run by a bunch of old ladies on Lonsdale. Forgot the name, but decent doughnuts. I think the original dude who ran the place died and these women kept it going. Oh, wait............. Harmony (just came to me).

For anyone familiar with the Save On Foods in Coquitlam known for serving great burgers, I won’t be able to make the happy hour from 3pm to 5pm, but I may stop by for a late lunch at around 1:30/2:00pm. I’ve got a lot of reading to do and an assignment due tonight, so I won’t be able to stick around for too long.

If anyone is interested in joining me, send me a quick PM or just reply here before 1:00pm. Thanks!

Man, has anyone been to Squamish lately? There is a new waterfront area, it's dope! You have to keep on going past main area, past industrial area, and then badabing, it opens up. House of Lager Brewery ...great place to eat. So nice, hipster, full of white people.

Yup, one of my personal favorite donut places is right beside there too, Fox & Oak.

Their donuts are top tier, maybe my favorite in the lower mainland.

Need RS help,

This shitbox i picked up, has a snapped heater hose quick connect, the threaded part is still in the block.

Only have about 4" of clearance infront of the threads.
Cant chisel them out, no room.
Tried a small metal blade for 10 minutes, minimal progress.
Tried a reverse extractor, gets really tight, feels like im about to crack the block.

Suggestions?

Upper hole in photo is good, vs lower one that has fitting sitting in the threads.

Very slowly cut through one side of it? it'll be tedious.

MIL dropped her car off at the dealership for servicing, but got into an accident with the courtesy car on the way home.

I know that dealerships generally have their own insurance on their fleet cars, but does her insurance go up still? We can assume she's at fault since it sounds like she made an unsafe left.

whitev70r 09-21-2025 08:35 PM

To my knowledge, your MIL's personal ICBC insurance is temporarily transferred to loaner ... so yah, she gets dinged. Some car salespeople can chime in.

To my knowledge, icbc insurance is temporarily transferred for test drives. loaners, they take your cc and carries a crazy deductible. Some car salespeople can chime in.

I just noticed red kryptonite's signature: 你老母炒蟹

LOL WUT :lol :lawl:

red kryptonite 09-21-2025 09:43 PM

:lawl: i was reminded of this phrase while sharing stories back from chinese school. i loved saying 老母 then i learned 你老母炒蟹. it drove the teachers crazy but nothing they can do about it.

for the non canto speakers/readers

you老母mother炒蟹fry crab
the phrase sounds like nay lo mo chow hai which translate to your mom's stinky pussy

.

looks like the manifold, any chance you can take it out of the car

looks like aluminum so chances are the the fitting has galled onto the manifold, try repeat tightening and loosening to see if it helps on the reverse extractor

Badhobz 09-22-2025 05:57 AM

danger to manifold?!

Traum 09-22-2025 09:44 AM

I'm surprised your teachers didn't intervene and tell you about the phonetic similarity to the swear words, and how that makes it inappropriate in Chinese school lol~

That's what caught my attention. I was like, "Phonetically, it's close, but it's not the same."

I could take it out..... But i need to take half the engine apart, its literally in the middle of the entire engine under the valve covers, fuel rail, engine mounts, etc.

Tried the extractor several times, no good

Im gonna drill then re tap the threads with right angle adapters / stubby bits, worst case JB weld the threads and put in an oiled fitting to seal off any gaps

RabidRat 09-22-2025 02:17 PM

Maybe a dumb question but... are you not worried about the metal shavings dropping into there?
