Woohoo! My 4gb nano is eligible! Apple is sending me a box to ship it back to them :fuckyea: Here's hoping we get a new nano, and they don't just fix the old one (honestly can't see them doing that).

van_city23 11-12-2011 11:08 PM

Mine is eligible as well, have to wait for the box to arrive so that i can send it. I wish it told us what it was being replaced with or if it's just being repaired.

Good rule of thumb keep all the packaging material that comes with a product and when the product breaks put it back in it's original packaging. Because you never know 5 or 6 years later there might be a recall.

If i build a house i'm going to have a room just for all the packaging from the stuff I buy like Fridges, stoves, TV's, toilets, nails, insulation, and stuff.

I wonder how long ago Apple new about the battery problems and didn't say anything.

Your gonna need more than a room for all that crap in your life time lol:smug:

When I press Continue, it loads, then it stops. No clue why this is a problem other than it being from Hong Kong

I had the same problem. Keep trying and remember the serial No. are case sensitive.

wonder if they are just going to replace the battery for the one you send in...or a brand new one.

I would rather they just replace the battery.

SumAznGuy 11-13-2011 09:38 AM

I wonder how long this recall will be good for? My Nano is still MIA since I haven't used it in years.

BaoTurbo 11-13-2011 10:53 AM

Guys, it's a chance to revive your nano, so I wouldn't mind. I'm just curious how they are going to fix it. They discontinued the 1st gen but I don't think they will crack open each nano and replace the battery. Ideas?

Hoping for a replacement unit because I got a cracked screen and actually doesn't work

LiquidTurbo 11-13-2011 12:27 PM

Imo, these things peaked hard at the first generation. Everything else after that sucked.

I recall how excited people got at the first gen. IMO, nothing since has come close.

The only downside was the easy to scratch shiny backing. If they'd used the brushed aluminum, it would have been the perfect nano.

BaoTurbo 11-13-2011 12:33 PM

I tried today using my iPhone. It works now and I believe they will send us a new nano when thy said they will send a replacement one. Time to bust open the factories and start making the nano again
