I think the establishment has had enough of this Paul talk and decided to take him out.

"Here...show them his own words. That'll nuke him"

I think he's good for the dialogue in the election, but a little too radical. I like a lot of his points, but it seems he's hoping the crazy states under his system would do the dirty work for him. Go to California and smoke legal weed. Go to Alabama and be forced to bring a rape/incest baby to term. It would become a jumble of crazy laws-without national press coverage.

Right now apparently Gingrich is down, Paul is holding his own and Romney is way up. If Romney is the nominee, then its Obama's election to lose.

God! They are all terrible. That's why the polls keep shifting...no one can decide what pile of crap they want to go with.

As far as the senate is concerned all he has to do is clean out the justice department and start prosecuting for treason and violation of the constitution and those guys will vacate out of there like a snowball in hell. Heck appoint Bruce Fein and watch the chaos.

^^ thats one of the cool things about Ron Paul he wouldn't accept medicaid/care but would practice for free instead for those that needed it

Side note (loosely related) I was watching Anderson Cooper (shudder) and he was talking about how America practiced eugenics into the 70's, they forcefully sterilized black men/women and people with low IQs

into the fucking 70s.... North Carolina is willfully paying reparations now but other states are like

Yep lets all work for free. The number of people who need to see a doctor but don't because of cost is ridiculous. 60 minutes had a story on a organization that went to 3rd world countries and held free clinics. They set up a 2 day free clinic in the states and the lineups were huge and they had to turn people away.

Why not fix the problem instead? You know the saying give a man a fish feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish feed him for life. Ron Paul helped this man and his wife once but what about next time?

maybe you didn't understand.... but ron paul frequently worked for free when he was a practicing physician

fix the problem... that's exactly what he wants to do if he was president

did you expect him to train sick people to become doctors back in the day? lol

ron paul doesnt believe in health care though, i don't agree with that, but unfortunately for americans it seems most of them don't believe in it either

thank god we're canadians

No I expect him to help people get affordable health care instead of his plan of begging and holding fund raisers.

And all Canadians did? Doctors in Saskatchewan went on strike to stop Medicare. Tommy Douglas fought long and hard to bring in health care.

Poll Finds Public Support for Health Reform Rising - BusinessWeek

The public’s support for health care reform is rising after a summer slide, according to the latest tracking poll from the non-profit Kaiser Family Foundation. The poll, released today, found that 57% of Americans now believe tackling health care reform is more important than ever, compared with 53% in August.

CNN Poll: Support rises for health insurance mandate – CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs

According to the poll, 52% of Americans favor mandatory health insurance, up from 44% in June. The survey indicates that 47% oppose the health insurance mandate, down from 54% in early summer.

A lot of things have been forced on Americans including the end of segregation, slavery, seat belt and helmet laws.

Obamacare will do exactly that force every American to buy insurance.

yes obamacare is already in place and ppl now want reform now interesting

and this research is coming from a pro health care organization

if it was to be believed we should see obama support rising in the polls but the republican candidates like Romney are still ahead of him

obamas disapproval rating has risen in the last 2 weeks as well.... so...

but this is really straying from Ron Paul being the best republican candidate

and health care isn't on top of the list of reforming america from dropping further into a 3rd world nation

I'd be pretty pissed to be an american with Obamacare. Here's how its going to go down:

1) a bunch of people that don't have health insurance don't have it for a reason. So they will head to the government for a hand out. Or be told no.
2) everyone with insurance will pay more. Probably directly through increased premiums, and indirectly through increased taxes.
3) it creates another huge bureaucracy.
4) Some companies will be affected through increased costs while others have been abvle to opt out.
5) it leaves the insurance companies in the picture. And they are the problem. You cannot have a company that profits off of your bad health.

Plus some 50 more, but those are the big ones I gathered.

I don't know...in my mind you either do it or you don't. Universal health or not at all. Trying to work with a private sector insurance industry and make it universal-ish is a foolhardy endeavour.

It's a halfway mess thanks to constant attack every step of the way. I assume the insurance companies threw a fortune into making it the way it is.
