what's worse than bandwagoners? bandwagon haters...because they are generally hypocrites.

Let's say you watched the 2010 winter olympics...did you become a bandwagoner when you rooted for Team Canada but did not follow them on almost every event they've participated in the past?:toot:

There's nothing wrong with rooting for the only Asian NBA player that got under drafted.

I want to see him play D-Rose, but that's only if Lin can last until March 12th.

Moving my earlier post to here.

sindragon 02-15-2012 02:27 PM

^ carmelo is sitting on the bench with his suit on lol. IMO the test is on feb 23 against the head :D

must get a Lin shirt
lol

I'm pretty confident in stating that the people who are suggesting that he might not "last" and those who are suggesting that he's "done" after this "hot streak" are all people who don't really follow basketball, but rather just keep in touch with it so they can join in on conversation...Try watching the kid play and you'll see that he absolutely strives running D'Antoni's offense. I personally don't think he'll be able to keep up this current production when Melo comes back, but I'm not going to ignorantly suggest that he's going to be "done".... As some others have said, I'd expect his numbers to drop around 17 and 8 once Melo comes back; though, I wouldn't be surprised if they were higher...

Oh I follow NBA ritually even before all this Lin-sanity lol ... which is the reason for my above post regarding his PG matchups so far. I still believe he is in the perfect system right now with D'antoni's style of coaching and IF (that's a BIG if) Carmelo can adjust when he comes back, he would be able to boost Lin's assist stats even more and take defensive pressure off Lin. If Melo becomes the old ballhog of the past then Lin will see a significant drop off. Then if the Knicks start losing again ... oh man the NY media is gonna all over Melo's ass!

DanHibiki 02-15-2012 03:07 PM

Where can u buy Lin NYK shirts locally? And I'm not talking about the "Kobe who?" ones

Obsideon 02-15-2012 03:09 PM

Oh and can someone change the thread title because it's obviously not Lin vs John Wall anymore haha... it's way beyond that, it's just "The Jeremy Lin Show" now :fuckyea:

so how does one become a fan? I am pretty sure 50% of the people like myself started as "band-wagon fans" learned the sport and began to love it. I encourage my friends to watch and participate and like myself they became fans too, now we have nba nights or nhl nights to hang out and enjoy the game and the company.

Just found this:
“When I get back Jeremy will have the ball in his hands and I’m playing off of that, (Jeremy Lin) is like a dream come true to me. It takes some pressure off of me. I don’t have to play point guard. I don’t have to try to get Amare 20 points, try to get this guy 20 points, me try to go out there and get 25-30 points a night, play defense, rebound do the whole thing.” –Carmelo Anthony, New York Knick

Let's hope he does what he says ... :accepted:

It's funny because as I was reading that, I was thinking is that what he was doing?

Will you be showing knicks game at ebisu? :smug:

bballguy 02-15-2012 04:25 PM

Lin will be a restricted free agent after this season and the Knicks are up against the cap thanks to the salaries of Melo, Amare and Chandler; But they can still retain Lin by using their mid-level exception for next season to match or exceed any offer sheets their new point guard gets. Lin is locked in. ;-)

Think the last time I watched NBA was when Vancouver had a team.
And even then, think I only watched 2 Grizzles game ever.

DanHibiki 02-15-2012 05:26 PM

k we have two separate threads about jeremy lin. this is annoying

AzNightmare 02-15-2012 05:32 PM

Lin only 10 pts tonight, and sitting out now.
Is he done for the night I guess?

This is a blow out game tough.

dinamix 02-15-2012 05:33 PM
