been following the thread but never posted. Congratulations on a new sti man. I sat in one a few weeks back and I wanted one so bad but I have no money lol.

Anyways once you get your car bring it over to MM design :troll:

GLOW 02-28-2012 09:32 PM

they probably learned nothing.

The General Manager and Client have met and the situation has been resolved to our clients full satisfaction. Thank you.
sounds like a pretty good spin to me. appears as though Subaru Canada's 2 representatives handled it and the above post made it sound like the GM handled his business...only thing he handled was his business card to OP to never show his face again.

MindBomber 02-28-2012 09:50 PM

Congratulations Belaud!

Not only have you made an impression that won't soon be forgotten, but you're one of very few noobs who has managed to make RS history for something other than spectacular failure.

NSXRboy 02-28-2012 10:30 PM

congrats belaud!
hope you enjoy your brand new swirl-free sti

Cereal Killer 02-28-2012 10:58 PM

Congrats Belaud! Hope to see you at future Vancouver Subaru Club and RS meets :)

I think you should apply a "Boycott Richmond Subaru'' decal before leaving the lot :lawl:

UnName 02-28-2012 11:18 PM

RCubed how would we get a decal off you?

belaud 02-28-2012 11:25 PM

Again, thank you all for helping me out on this, I am also even more thankful this stayed civilized, I hate confrontation! (thus the insane amount of stress)

I'm not sure how I can make it up to all of you :tears:, but if anything like this comes up again, I will do, in all my power, to help each and every one of you through your cause too, because in numbers, we are stronger!

I will give a final update on Thursday to the delivery of the new car, as well as a final summary on this experience (as a 20 year old :joy:).

I can't thank all of you enough for your support, it has been less stressful knowing there are so many people willing to help out!

So...Thank you...again :alone:

Mr.Money 02-28-2012 11:31 PM

^^......as much as you said put your pitch fork's down,i won't be purchasing my Subaru from this dealership in Richmond,he should have done the right thing in the first place then Waiting for the Executives from Subaru Canada to step in to fix thing's For him After the email's that were sent from a number of Member's here for support.

I Can only hope he'll learn from this or I'll see where i make my choice in the next year's for a brand new car.

optiblue 02-28-2012 11:47 PM

GREAT NEWS. . .OP's getting a brand new STI!

http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/_/...011_bmw_x3.jpg

In other news, Richmond Subaru has probably tarnished their reputation for a long time to come. I mean, why would anyone go there when Don Docksteader Subaru is around? Customer service was superb when we got our Impreza there, with similar reviews from friends.

Anyways, you're going to love that pearl white OP, there's nothing else like it on the road (Except other Subarus).

belaud 02-28-2012 11:54 PM

Also, if anyones interested, the original STi is being written off as "collateral damage". So it probably won't be sold until the OK is given by Subaru Canada.

Raid3n 02-28-2012 11:56 PM

i propose a meet at market crossing to celebrate/check out belaud's new sti, and also to hand out the stickers :fullofwin:

Sky_High 02-28-2012 11:56 PM

Which Legacy are you driving right now? the 3.6 by any chance? Or just one of their random ones they been trying to get rid of...?

belaud 02-29-2012 12:01 AM

I am driving a base model 2012 legacy.

I'll be at Bryns/Marine Tim Hortons on Friday night around 9-10PM till whenever, it will look dirty and have actual transport film adhesive still on it :toot:

I like that you're actually becoming a member of the community. So many people post up something like this, want our help, it gets resolved, then they disappear forever.

It's great you got a new car. Did they do anything else, or offer you anything else on top (of course refunding anything they charged you for detailing is mandatory and assumed since it made the car worse)? Because in actuality, you are where you were a month ago, ready to pick up a new car. It's unlikely you'd want to go in for servicing with them, but if they offer and you turn it down, at least they tried.

Maybe I'm just asking a bit much, but they should be kissing major ass to you to make up for YOUR wasted time and effort and stress. Providing you with a new unmolested car is what they should have done from the beginning. Giving you a new car now should not be celebrated by them as a great feat of customer service, they just fulfilled their basic agreement from the very beginning.

civicyvr 02-29-2012 01:43 AM

Congrats man! Right has been done by Subaru Canada and glad you will be able to enjoy it thursday!

GLOW 02-29-2012 05:03 AM

The ultimate troll would have been don docksteader coming in to offer a replacement car for OP

OP when you pick up your car please be sure to give warren the GM one of these to troll him

After all, he gave you his business card and never wanted to see your face again. Last time he sees your face should be :troll:

I never saw the part where the guy gave him a business card to never see him again, when did that happen?

We checked the car out, he was nice at first, until money came into prospect, then he turned into the biggest dick Ive heard.

"Once i give you this business card, I don't ever want to see your face here again."

I started yelling once one of the Sales/Service came out and said

"Listen here, in my 20 years of experience, you'll ALWAYS have swirls under the light, so don't come in here expecting free service because you're not happy with the detail job"

I've been contacted by Subaru of Canada regarding this issue, I like where this is going, I hope that dealership closes down soon.
I pretty much just lost my temper right there and then after 3 weeks of bullshit,

caps for awesome:

"IF I PUT A FUCKING LIGHT UNDERNEATH ONE OF THESE BRAND NEW FUCKING CARS, YOU WON'T SEE AS MANY FUCKING SWIRL MARKS ON THAT ONE AS TO MY FUCKING CAR, DON'T GIVE ME THIS TRANSIT COATING BULLSHIT, IN YOUR 20 YEARS TIME, YOU'RE EXPECTING ME TO BELIEVE MY PAINT WILL ALWAYS BE FADED."

NOW, another thing is, their detailer already broke the clearcoat on the corner of my bumper, they are not claiming responsibility.

My car is looking worse and worse as days go by.
