It's grilled, formed rice for buns and you get a choice of either chicken, beef or pork in between. Just think your ordinary run of the mill sandwich/burger nut with rice for buns

I looked around and noticed that next to the potater stand was this small stand which a black guy had opened. he was selling chinese food. you could clearly see the difference on how well the the stand / food was presented, and well... the difference on how many customers each stand pulled. The whole time i was lining up i couldn't help but feel sorry for the guy. he had no customers whatsoever, whereas the tornado potater stand's customers pretty much lined up right infront of his stand, completely blocking his stand out of sight.

i believe it was a bad choice for him to invest in a night market stand selling CHINESE food. not trying to be racist here but do you think the traditional chinese people, or even the westerners would buy CHINESE food from a BLACK guy in a CHINESE night market? i went a couple weeks after to see if he was still there and lo and behold, his stand was gone.. :okay:

Went to the new one today... Scraped the shit out of my front lip the entire time I was on the gravel lot. Car is barely lowered too. Can't imagine what havoc it would wreak if my car was any lower. Definitely won't be returning in this car especially once I lower it some more

i went tonight also and felt the same way! my tl is lowered only 1.5 inches and i was like damn this is stupid... if i brought my celica(if i still had it) that had about 1 inch of clearance it woulda been rape!

overall though i liked how this new nightmarket had quite a bit of space to walk in, it wasnt super crampped like the bridgeport one. it also had nicer decoration and felt cleaner.

went yday and holy fuck my car is a dirty dirtayy girl lol

Verdasco 07-02-2012 02:07 AM

go park in casino guys... it has been posted countless of times to NOT go through the trouble and park on the gravol...

Paradise240 07-02-2012 11:56 AM

You could park in the lot under the skytrain, but I don't recommend it if you have a lowered car. The surface is like the moon and I raped my front lip/chassis trying to leave the parking lot because of random rocks. But it's right across the night market, so its a quick walk.

Btw, if someone didnt know, you can take River Road there instead of taking Bridgeport or something. Enter River road from No.5 (If you're coming from Vancouver) and just follow it all the way to the casino. I find it A LOT quicker and barely any traffic.

$99 bought a package from COP paintball promotions. I got 24 admission+ rental + Equipment. But I need to buy my own ammo.

And jailbait selling porkhock (say that ten times fast)
Nice to see white peeps setting up cultural food stalls! Oktoberfest bratwurst or something

To protect yourself, you should hold the skewer positing like when you are brushing your front teeth from the side ways, thus you'll never poke your throat.

So eat it side ways especially the Tornado Potato

My wife and I went on Friday night. I was thinking about getting some meat-on-a-stick, but then we spotted the pizza truck. They had a stone oven in the truck! Incredible pizza. Recommended. Also got the rice burger. Not $4 awesome, but tasty, nonetheless. Parking was a cinch in the free, gravel lot. My car is a bit lowered, and had no issues.

I think 75% of the non-food stands were cell phone (iPhone) accessories.

Ronin 08-19-2012 07:15 PM

I'm going to write a wicked dirty one and put it up there.

Anyone know when's the last day? I know they usually extend the length of being open.

Presto 08-20-2012 09:54 AM

Last official day, according to website: October 8

Vansterdam 08-21-2012 06:04 AM

i found this one stall that has killer popcorn chicken :sweetjesus:

whats the best stand for bbt/bubble waffles and takoyaki at new nightmarket?

spoon.ek9 08-27-2012 05:09 PM

finally went to the new night market on friday night. i gotta say, it was an enjoyable experience. parking was free and even though the lineup to get in was massive, it only took 4 mins to get through the queue!

better organization and cleanliness are what made me choose to visit the new night market rather than the old. also, my friend has a burger stand and i paid him a visit :D

anyways, i like the setup they have at the new place. i'll be sure to make a stop at the old night market for comparison if nothing else at all. there's supposed to be a pretty girl selling takoyaki at the old place anyways

HondaGuy 08-27-2012 06:44 PM

Went there on Saturday night and the corn has shrunk... lol... girl at counter said season is almost over and crop has reduced. :okay:

Walked over to the performance stage and saw a guy dressed as Pikachu dancing in the crowd... LOL...
