Went last night. Fake shark fin soup is now jacked up to $6.50 for large.
Think it's $5 for small.

None of the food stands looked all that impressive.
There was this Indian guy selling Indian food.
I don't remember if he was around in the past before
But no one was crowding around his place, so I felt bad and bought some food from him.
Didn't look like he was that popular. Butter chicken and veggie samosa. Not bad.

are the stalls all full or less then half?

CL typeS 05-13-2012 11:29 AM

JUST admission

BaoTurbo 05-13-2012 05:34 PM

Went to the Bridgeport one last night. Pretty much blew. Gf wanted to go so I thought I might tag a long even though I don't usually go this early. The green tea stall is gone that usually sells bottled green tea, instead it's replaced by hongers selling some other bottled drinks I never even heard of. Other than the usual well known stores theres nothing new

Chronix 05-13-2012 06:21 PM

lol 4 hurricane potatoes stalls. milking that sht

blee123 05-13-2012 08:47 PM

nightmarket, the place where you bump into a whole bunch of people from your highschool that you don't even wana see :fuckthatshit:

striderblade 05-13-2012 10:17 PM

Damn i use to go there for the cheap foods. Now that they started to jack up the price. I don't think is gonna be very good this year. For 6 dollars to get a large fake shark fin soup? fuck i rather buy 2 whoppers for that price.

blee123 05-13-2012 11:08 PM

food at the nightmarket :heckno: who knows how they handled their food

I think you can say the same about every restaurant and fast food chain.

AzNightmare 05-14-2012 12:10 AM

Lol. The food is fine. It's the prices that aren't.

We're already spending money on over-priced street food and night market was free to begin with, I don't get why they're passing the cost down to us. It would have been better and what they SHOULD have done is pass the higher cost of rent down to the stall operators instead of the customers. Different strokes for different folks, it's probably the same shit at both night markets anyways lol rather save $1(or $2 if you're going with the gf) and head to the free one on Bridgeport :fullofwin:

$1 is nothing, just the principle.

Saturday was packed
Sunday was less people

Food Stands were ok, price have definitely gone up for some. Stands same as every year, nothing special.

Saw a white KIA Sportage got toll away parked directly in font of fire hydrant haha

there is free parking after 9:30pm. the girl in charge of the parking lot collecting 4.50 took the signs away and cones.

Looking forward to the new nightmarket at River Rock on May 18th

I felt bad for the guy. He was just standing beside his car watching it get towed lol.

melloman 05-14-2012 02:47 PM

:okay: Took away most of the BBQ skewer stands.. :okay:

The only reason I went into nightmarket was for skewers.. now there's only 2 places that make them, both are expensive as hell. $6.75/3 skewers.. =|

GGnoRE 05-14-2012 02:50 PM

Seems like everyone is a little bit disappointed by the night market this year

i guess that means there'll be less kids walking around not looking in front of them holding skewers pointed outwards ready to impale you

Wouldn't charging the operators extra just give them an excuse to jack prices up higher? Say if I were to buy a couple items that were charged an extra dollar or 2 due to high costs, then I would be spending more than just that dollar admission

Vansterdam 05-14-2012 04:57 PM

come back to the bridgeport one in a month lol should be all setup by then

riverrock ones opens this week i believe
