It's their Q1/FY13 already? :suspicious:

A Q1/CY13 release for BB10 is gonna hurt them even more now, I think... :(

knight604 06-28-2012 01:58 PM

We are going to see tomorrow's stock drop hard..

fsy82 06-28-2012 02:01 PM

It’s unfortunate that we won’t be seeing any of RIM’s new BlackBerry 10 devices until Q1 2013, but that doesn’t stop the leaks from happening! Over the past few months the rumours have all come together and pointed towards several handsets, namely the London, Lisbon, Milan, Nevada, Black Forest.

Today, according to a post on BlackBerry OS, reveals a potential new roadmap of RIM’s upcoming devices. The devices all live up to their names and the schedule is as follows: 4G PlayBook, called the “Winchester,” is the BlackBerry PlayBook with 4G connectivity – this will probably come Rogers, Bell and TELUS in the Q4 2012 timeframe. During RIM’s recent quarterly report CEO Thorsten Heins stated this long anticipated tablet will be available soon. Next up are the BlackBerry 10 devices, first the rumoured “London.” This is most likely the L-Series all-touch handset we saw in last weeks leak. In addition, the “Nevada,” probably is the N-Series physical QWERTY BlackBerry 10 device. Both of this will be hitting the masses in Q1 2013.

In addition, it looks like RIM is scheduling a PlayBook update (probably OS 2.1) coming in late Q1 early Q2. Remember the loooong rumoured 10-inch PlayBook, yes, the “Blackforest” could be coming to life in Q3. Finally listed on the roadmap are devices called the Nashville and Naples.

Seems to be some pretty cool stuff happening… we just have to wait another few months.

knight604 07-02-2012 06:56 PM

Curious about Nashville and Naples.

Will jump on Nevada as soon as it gets released.

murd0c 07-02-2012 09:02 PM

are there any pics of the Nevada yet?

try to generate buzz for their dying product. they need 2 divisions. corporate and consumer.

Physical keyboards for office people and a iPhone clone for everyone else, you know, a phone that will actually make money.

yes there is still a place for high security business devices, but to survive, they need to diversify and make a product more people want.

to have 50% of the phone taken up with a physical keyboard is retarded now days. make a good solid slide out.

sadly I don't see this happening and likely most of the higher ups at RIM don't as well, that's why they all left.

shit, look at the playbook. slow in everything it does, no apps. even with Android apps porting over, it still sucks. garbage OS.

knight604 07-04-2012 10:20 AM

Clearly QNX hasnt been around like IOS , but more developers are jumping on it now because alot of apps are actually pouring into App world as the OS of blackberry will turn into BB10 , they won't have to build on two different ones.

Someone's violating their NDA, obviously. There's no fucking way management wants it released like this when it kills the buzz on their multi-million dollar marketing launch.

StylinRed 07-05-2012 06:30 AM

they're struggling even more and dropping out of the sky fast people are losing interest and writing them off they need something anything to leak out but not look obvious to draw some attention

knight604 09-25-2012 12:43 PM

StylinRed 09-25-2012 01:02 PM

they showcased their new dev device too

and everyone is going on about how not only is the OS a copy of Nokias maemo (swipe gestures and ui) but the dev device looks exactly like the nokia N9

considering Elop trashed the N9 and any future Swipe/Maemo development

Im rooting for blackberry ;)

knight604 09-25-2012 01:11 PM

I love blackberry.

It is wonderful to see RIM now to be so involved with their developers and providing so much for them.

Simplex123 09-25-2012 01:15 PM

^ fuck.... The screen off/alarm is so boss
Cannot wait for bb10 next year

knight604 09-25-2012 01:16 PM

I love it when people say Blackberry will die when they dont know shit about BB10.

Simplex123 09-25-2012 01:18 PM

The device does resemble the n9 and if it's an actual device coming to market maybe RIM will get sued too?
But playbook and QNX was all about gestures so it was natural move for them to move it onto bb10

knight604 09-25-2012 02:41 PM

!

rice cooker 09-25-2012 03:31 PM
