I had my bars done here in Langley.

It's all about quality | HI-PRO Coatings

They did a good job, as long as it's a standard color it won't be a long turn around. I'll be dropping off some access panels for a store I'm working on this week for them to coat some off white color that this store must have....

So I just got the safety book from icbc today read a fair bit

Any tips or pointers to passing my L? Just do their practice test?

Will be going through either PRS or another school for sure.

I thought you already had your license and a track bike..

With the new ORV registration requirements, does anyone know how this affects dual sports that aren't getting used on-road? I'm worried that getting ORV registration would screw up the ability to plate it like normal down the road, but at the same time I'm wondering if regular plates and insurance will cause problems if someone without a bike license is using it off road (not to mention they cost more IIRC).

Computer test is pretty straight forward. Fail it and you'll get 60% of the exact same questions again on the next test.

320icar 04-08-2015 05:11 PM

^^ very accurate. Skip the online test and just read the book front to back, now matter how "obvious" the book may be. Trust me

Sunfighter 04-08-2015 06:12 PM

Like 320icar said ... read the book front-to-back then head to PRS. :) You will be all set!

Broke my s2s cherry today and rode up to Squamish. Left at 7 am, no traffic! Got home around 11:30 and promptly threw up from I guess the McDonald's I had. Still laying in bed :(

How is the road going up Cypress? Clean or a lot of gravel?

320icar 04-09-2015 09:24 PM

Right at the top there was some water run off, and maybe 3/4 of the way up they still were spraying de-icer on the road. Other than that it was clear. A few pot holes, and as usual people in trucks wanting to go down at 120km/h and riding your ass lol

vexor 04-10-2015 09:36 AM

I try to avoid Cypress and Seymour as much as I can. Roads are just too sketchy on a bike. Sea to Sky is really the best road for bikers that's close by.

Dragon-88 04-10-2015 01:18 PM

I like riding Marine drive in N.Van towards HSB. Its like i'm in some UK rally race..

hchang 04-10-2015 02:49 PM

Fuck yeah!!!!!!

** edited out interim learners license cause I realized you could make out my postal code lol

320icar 04-10-2015 05:11 PM

^^ congrats man! do you have a bike to learn on? Already got your gear?

Went in to get a recall done on my bike, had made an appointment a few weeks back.

Me: Here to drop off my bike.
Them: Ok, hmmmm let me check. Yeah are you sure your bike qualifies for the recall and did you buy it from here?
Me: Yes bought it from here and Yes I've received two noticed from Yamaha to bring it in.
Them: Yeah.....about that we have to order parts to do this recall.
Me: Ok, so you don't have the parts? Do I need to order them myself?
Them: No, we don't order them unless you make an appointment.
Me: But I have an appointment, that's why I'm here I made it two weeks ago.
Them: Yeah, we don't have the parts.

Oh man, I could only laugh.

No, the other Yamaha dealership in Langley. I'm not even mad I know mistakes happen but it was conversation that left me scratching my head just say you forgot to order the parts it's not that big of a deal.
