Anyone know a place that can clear-bra a bike (other than wrapworks)?

racerman88 05-08-2015 07:42 AM

I think N-motion has done some bikes

That's too bad. Is it just a bit of a reliability nightmare? I'm considering picking up an old Suzuki enduro cheap to fix up and hoon about and explore dirt/gravel paths I wouldn't take my CBR on.

I just flipped it and reattached it. when posting use the go advanced button and you can see a preview of your post if its upside down rotate the pic and re-save and re-upload it.

Hard to say. I'm a new rider and since I'm older (33), I tend to ride slower. Was scared for the first couple of days but now I'm getting more used to it. The bike is a great starter bike and I still have lots to learn, but it can feel little sluggish at times. Gunna try to head out to Pitt meadows with my instructor and see what I can do there

The wife's ninja is a much better looking bike IMO. Haven't had a chance to take it out yet but will report back

Sunfighter 05-09-2015 09:46 AM

Hi everybody - it's short notice and I know a lot of people are doing things for Mother's Day tomorrow but Jessie and myself might take a leisurely ride out to Harrison if anybody wants to join.

I ride my brothers Ninja 250 sometimes and keeping it in a lower gear so it stays in the power band helps around town with acceleration but that's only till 90 after that it’s pretty gutless lol

Any recommendations for a Bluetooth headset? My wife and I took our first ride together but we couldn't even communicate at all. The one I wore during training hurt my ears but I don't know what brand it was

DKaz 05-10-2015 02:55 PM

Sema SMH10 is a pretty popular one. I'd go with the newer 20S which has Bluetooth 4.0 and FM radio.

Recon604 05-10-2015 04:08 PM

I wish I went with the 20s instead of the smh10. Sena has the best customer service, I broke the clip on the back and they sent me a replacement part

I went camping and rode back today! Wonder if I passed yah

Dragon-88 05-11-2015 03:34 PM

To stay cheap go with the SMH10, you can get a pair for under $300. The 20S is much more expensive. I'm waiting for the price to drop before jumping the gun. But for most peoples use, the SMH10 is fantastic.

Gh0stRider 05-11-2015 07:28 PM

Sena SMH10. does everything that you need.

kr4l 05-11-2015 07:55 PM

the 20s doesn't have great reviews on revzilla

I don't care much about price. I'm more worried about comfort and will pay extra for that. Will update when I find a set

DKaz 05-11-2015 09:09 PM

Yea I love my SMH10. The only thing I want from the 20S is FM radio, though I usually stream radio on my phone if I feel like listening to the radio. Usually it's Spotify or my own music though. I want to listen to Podcasts but I can't understand what they're saying over the road noise especially on the highway where I spend half of my commute on.

The Sema SMH5/SMH10/20S units are not uncomfortable. You remove the padding in your helmet, fit the speakers underneath and fish the wires through, then put the padding back in. It took a few tries to find the most comfortable and best sounding position for the speakers but I haven't touched it since.

Dragon-88 05-11-2015 09:41 PM

Also good thing about the SMH10 is the extra headpieces are $45 @ Modern. I have 3 helmets and they're all hooked up with a boom mic.

320icar 05-11-2015 10:23 PM

who says you can't take a sportbike camping
