Have any of you guys ordered gear online from the US? Gotta make a border run soon so I'm looking for a DOT dirtbike/dualsport helmet. Or with the dollar the way it is, any suggestions for Canadian suppliers? Shops in Kelowna have stupidly jacked up prices.

DKaz 05-15-2015 08:38 PM

I've purchased gear from canadasmotorcycle.com . Great selection and prices. Cheaper than Revzilla with the exchange rate. Hey look, their ad is right on this page.

quasi 05-15-2015 08:54 PM

With the dollar right now you're not going to save much in the states in my opinion. Canadamotorcycle or motorstarz is going to be very close to Revzilla prices once you factor in exchange.

Sunfighter 05-15-2015 09:28 PM

I agree. And honestly - in my experience there are a number of shops that will BEAT US prices right here in Vancouver. You just have to ask. They are happy to take the business. In fact - one I use beats the U.S. price straight up.

underscore 05-16-2015 07:55 AM

I won't be back in Vancouver for a while, and in my experience the shops in Kelowna have terrible pricing and aren't terribly knowledgeable.

On a related note any suggestions on brands at the lower end of the price scale? Obviously I want something that's safe but I don't want to pay for a bunch of fancy extras that I don't really need.

I'll take a non-custom version, please. In red. :)

some terrible riding skip to 8:49 if u just want to see the crash.

320icar 05-19-2015 11:04 PM

For fucks sake. That was some of the worst riding I have seen in my life!

cdizzle_996 05-20-2015 04:55 AM

He obviously doesnt understand the concept of counter sterring.

?NR 05-20-2015 12:44 PM

:lol smh he has no business behind the bars nor on two wheels.

Inaii 05-20-2015 12:50 PM

Was he just riding way beyond his capabilities? Maybe it's because I've never actually ridden before, but I don't understand how it happened. I mean I get that he crashed because he ended up on the soft shoulder, but did he target fixate or something?

320icar 05-20-2015 01:06 PM

Absolutely riding beyond his means. In the sense that riding at all was beyond his means. He had no control of his motorcycle at any point. He did not know the roads, he went far too fast. In parts after he fucked up a turn, you could see him shake his head. What he should have done is immediately pull off to the side and assess the situation and clear his head. Not keep gunning it and solve the problem with speed

radioman 05-20-2015 01:07 PM

WOW hahahaha

Literally every corner he fucks up

Inaii 05-20-2015 01:08 PM

Ahh okay. I figured it was something like that. Thanks for clearing it up for me :)

Just riding beyond his capabilities.

He was going in too hot in pretty much every turn. Many bends before his crash, he was missing his braking points by a lot causing him to overshoot his turn and have to do a severe correction to make his turn (sometimes even almost coming to a complete stop to be able to correct his turn - that's how bad he'd miss it).

However, that's not just a motorcycle thing though. You don't even do that even if you were driving a car, so I really have no clue what that rider was thinking/doing.

bananana 05-20-2015 07:19 PM

That was awesome. I don't think he ever ever in the right gear the whole time either.

6793026 05-21-2015 07:13 AM

the only reason for this poor riding is *************** he did NOT take a course*****
this is a typical guy who hops on a bike and starts riding cause his friends taught him.

1) no concept of where you look is where you go.
2) counter steer is not even a concept for him
3) improper lines....
4) improper acceleration

but all in all, clearly showing that he didn't take the course is the winner here

Couldn't take the course cause after motorcycle purchase all left over funds were spent on a helmet cam to catch all the epic riding and stunting he's gonna do.:fuckyea:

DKaz 05-21-2015 10:28 AM

That was painful to watch. It's amazing he didn't go down braking while turning or hitting an oncoming vehicle.

He also needs to learn what a double solid yellow means.

320icar 05-21-2015 10:31 AM

That's not totally fair. I haven't yet taken a course, and I'm god damn Rossi compared to him.

Vale46Rossi 05-21-2015 05:19 PM

^ ...........

Betcha ain't nobody compared to me

dn53 05-21-2015 10:31 PM

I had a hard time watching that :lol

Dragon-88 05-22-2015 09:56 AM

Man, I could've out rode him on my ruckus.

Sunfighter 05-22-2015 05:24 PM

I Spotted Raid3n Crossing Lougheed a few blocks East of North Road. I was running along the road and saw him crossing through. I don't think he saw me. :)
