So funny ... all those years I was modding my STIs, JDM Type-Rs, bolting on turbos, r-compound tire, coilovers, etc., I always suspected in the back of my head that if I went with a bike I'd never look back at cars.... andddddddddddddddddddddddd that's exactly what finally happened. lol.

Good thing i figured that out before i voided my new warranty lol.

Talking to the GF. She wants to keep her '87 gsxr-400 for a long time. But also pick up a new gsxr-600. So i figure ill look into getting a nice grey market 400cc bike like the zxr400 or cbr400rr to collector plate along side her bike. That way we can both have our sunny day bikes, and also our 'rip to kamloops' bikes

I'm on the exact same boat here. Don't know how much I've spent on cars already when all my heart was really looking for was my two-wheeled stallion LOL. It would have never happened if I didn't meet ft-z33wor either :alonehappy:

320icar, if you want a project, i'm contemplating selling my '84 GSXR-400 as it's not running at the moment and i need a bike and kind of want to get something newer.

:heckno: watch out for cagers

fT-z33wor 02-03-2014 12:24 PM

Watching that video pisses me the hell off. I had someone do the exact same thing to me, and it wasn't even at an intersection.

z3german 02-03-2014 01:33 PM

Sucks for everyone, car went cause thought it was enough room, choice was to stop and maybe get t boned, or hit the other two bikers in the other lanes.

Retarded distance judgement from the car in the first place but once he went he only had 2 options.

320icar 02-03-2014 01:34 PM

I'm shocked the bike didnt try evasive maneuvering. He just went dead on

Wow I haven't been able to enjoy my bike and I'm starting to understand why you guys get twitchy and despise winter. I keep seeing it in my garage.

:(

I got to tinker around with it and changed some parts that the previous owner gave me with the bike. Got rid of the old windscreen (it's on the floor)

He had some wires as well going from the back to the front for a radar detector. Got a chance to lift the tank and open up the bike and got a feel for it.

:D

Target fixation, plus 2 up. Bad news bears in every situation, luckily he got out of it by the skin of his teeth.

Super shitty, I blaze in my garage and see it every day.

Whats that 750? You wanna go for a ride? You wanna wake up and start roaring? Fuck Im high as a kite, the bikes talking to me, cant wait to insure.

PLUJ 02-03-2014 03:09 PM

Holy! I thought the motorcycle wasn't going to brake in time.

Your instinct is to hit the brakes, when you learn to ride later you will notice the bike straightens itself upright under braking. That's why if you're going wide in a corner the worst thing to do is grab the brakes, it will cause you to go more wide.

But under hard braking, the bike will just want to sit straight up. In order to do an evasive maneuver he would have had to let go of the brakes completely. It would be much difficult to do for the average street rider, especially with a passenger on the back. It just goes against all your instincts to let go of the brakes in that situation.

Gh0stRider 02-03-2014 05:44 PM

thought the rider was gonna fly over his handle bars

double0seven 02-03-2014 08:24 PM

I would have flown over my handle bars for sure lol

evlee 02-03-2014 08:42 PM
