I doubt they check if you park in the parkades. I didn't get any tickets when I parked in the thunderbird parkade for about a good 2 weeks.

or just pay 30bucks a month for free parking anywhere on campus lol

radioman 03-16-2014 11:41 PM

So Raiden since we're neighbors when are you going to come by and teach my noob ass :)

Bring some cones :P

Raid3n 03-17-2014 06:38 AM

lol. we'll need a decent sized flat parking lot. i think there is one up the hill from you on mariner. i'll msg you on facebook later. looking like the weather might be okay this afternoon.

radioman 03-17-2014 07:59 AM

Bikes not insured yet. If we get a good stretch of weather I'll insure it :) there's a few big lots near me.

Hey guys - one thing to be very cautious of right now is that if you are placing orders for parts/gear through local shops their pricing for most vendors has increased pretty significantly over the past 30-60 days. A 90 cent dollar has made an impact.

Whenever possible I will ALWAYS shop brick & mortar even if they can't completely match the price (as long as they try) but it's gonna get dirty out there now...

IE ~ I got a quote in January for a part at $529.95+tax. Went to place the order now and vendor/Canadian distributor has increased the price to $589.95+tax due to the currency fluctuation.

But that said - buying from the US/online won't necessarily help because we are all earning income in Canadian dollars.

OH LAWD DAT 675R

fT-z33wor 03-17-2014 06:08 PM

Charlie I think we would ride the snot out of that thing given the opportunity LOL

CharlieH 03-17-2014 06:15 PM

the reason i haven't dumped money into suspension yet is because im still on the fence about selling the r6 and getting a 675r as the race bike instead man.

Naka San 03-17-2014 06:25 PM

oooooooo that is a tough decision - R6 or 675R

fT-z33wor 03-17-2014 06:28 PM

I would probably chose the 675R Ern, unless the R6 was the 08+ model that comes with the retractable intake.

Qasual 03-17-2014 06:42 PM

Sigh I can't have that KTM that I posted a couple pages ago. :failed:

I've never seen that particular jacket in person so can't comment its quality specifically. As to perforated, for me the more airflow the better. If you're overheated it affects your riding, focus and decision making especially on longer rides.
Carry around a cheap fold-able windbreaker with you if you are worried about being too cool. They fold up to the size of a wallet, keep it in your pocket, wear it over or under your leather jacket if you get cold. That will keep you comfortable in a pretty broad temperature range.

Raid3n 03-22-2014 06:41 AM

^could even put it in the storage compartment so you never forget it.

I have a perforated Dainese jacket and it flows a good amount of air.
More so noticeable when the air gets cooler.
Wearing any kind drifit base layer helps as well.

Yep, just have to be careful if you have an under-tail exhaust as that area can get a bit warm and melty.

hopalong 03-22-2014 09:48 AM

I have the alpinestars gpr perforated jacket. Warm/hot days is great but if it's cool outside you get cold fast. Just bring a super thin windbreaker and stuff it under the back seat.
