people just like space. it's like how all the 10m penthouse condos are like 2br 3ba and 2000sf.

That Surrey house.. gotta be an EI build with a Chinese owner no? Lol

I don’t see any white family living like that or letting the landscaping so pathetic for a house at that price point

JDMDreams 10-31-2024 09:57 AM

This, % rates high no one buy, buddy guy can't afford to build, when rates drop there's nothing to buy ??? Profit

You twirl around in complete bliss and ignorance to the poors collecting their tax payer funded welfare cheques.

Gerbs 10-31-2024 12:10 PM

Neither!

JDMDreams 10-31-2024 12:30 PM

The Vancouver one isn't that bad if you get the whole back yard. You can argue you own land in Vancouver. + No strata fees. The Richmond one is stupid. You're gonna have China neighbors but then you can be friends with bad hobz.

The layout of that 6.2 mill house is absolute shit. Why is the washer and dryer in the bathroom. Do you want the clothes to smell like shit. Why does the toilet have a glass door with an open top?

Now WTF is the point of this room?

Who said rich people have brains?

We laugh at these >$2M homes, but most millennials and younger aren't willing to buy old homes that are "rough" around the edges. They want everything to look like it's out of Instagram or Pinterest.

The majority don't want to get their hands dirty and renovate.

Badhobz 11-01-2024 03:35 PM

That’s exactly it.

I would have probably saved 500k to a mil if I just built my own McMansion in Richmond instead of buying one but then we couldn’t even agree on the aesthetics or even how many bedrooms. I wanted only 4 so that each room is a decent size , but she wanted 5 just in case of resale. On our old lot the max you can build is 3000ish sqft so that would be quite small for Richmond standards.
