They charge like an 18% fee on top of your winning bid, so it ends up being a rip off

yup. I bought tires off them once.

Verdasco 02-18-2018 10:32 PM

no point of going unless you are rich, and if you are already rich, you can buy this stuff without an auction. so this is moot imo

GC8 02-19-2018 07:48 AM

I cannot imagine how its going to work. Everything better be in lots? selling one video card would take them ages lol since I am not working on those days I may go check it out

Manic! 02-19-2018 04:57 PM

Just signed up for able auctions online bidding and it's a 17% buyers fee plus taxes.

Additional Instructions from the Auctioneer: Bidding Terms & Tips:

- All items sold are as is, where is with no guarantees, warranties,
refunds or exchanges.

- ALL bids are non-retractable; this includes Proxy, Online and in
person bids. Once your bid has been accepted Able Auctions will not retract
the bid, you are responsible for any item you successfully bid on.

- our bid price is PER ITEM plus 17% buyer’s premium plus GST & PST.

- When bidding on a grouped item you are obligated to only one lot in
that group unless you manually change the quantity by clicking on the
blue box “+ SHOW GROUP CHOICE BIDDING…” to the right of PLACE MAX BID
and select more than one. However, your bid will show up on all the
items in that grouping. Ie. Lots 5 to 10 are Black Highback Leather
Boardroom Chair, you place a bid on lot 5 for $100. Your online name
& current bid will show up on lots 5 through to 10. Grouping allows
bidders to get multiples of an item instead of bidding one by one hoping
to get the quantity they need. We group items before the auction begins,
based on them having identical descriptions. Online pre bids will need
to choose their quantity when placing their maximum bid. During the Live
Auction the highest bidder, either online live bidder or in person bidder
will be asked how many would they like at the high bid amount. Ie High
bid is $75, your online bid is successful and you took one at $75, online
& in person bidders will be asked how many they would like at $75 each,
a live online bidder can click on the $75 bid button & tick off the
remaining 5 lots. During the auction the auctioneer may choose to group
items together that do not have identical descriptions ie. Lots 11 through
20 are various sized ladders, they would not be grouped prior to the auction,
but the auctioneer may decide to let bidders have choice during the auction.

- During the auction you will either see “Floor” make a bid or
another username. When “floor” bids that means someone in person has raised
their paddle, otherwise it is another online person bidding. This gives you
a sense for where the bids are coming from.

- Occasionally you will see “pause” come across your screen. This
happens when something on the floor causes a delay. This could be due to
several reasons but it usually only lasts a few minutes and then bidding
resumes.

- In the case of a tie between an online & floor (in person) bidder,
the floor bidder will win.

- The auctioneer sets & dictates the price. If you are not meeting
his increment he will not accept your bid i.e.: the bid is at $25, the
auctioneer is asking $35 and you are only offering $30; the auctioneer will
end up accepting and selling the item for $25 ignoring the $30 bid.

Payment & Removal Options and Information

- GST & PST are charged to all purchases; it is charged on top of your
combined purchase of the bid price and 17% buyer’s premium

Visa, Master Card, Debit, Cash, or PayPal as forms of payment.

If you cannot attend for payment PayPal is available.

- All items must be removed by the next working day following the auction @ 4pm.

current prices: $300 for a 1060. $800 for 1080ti. $600 for 1070. looks like less than 20 in total? unless there's more in the other pages

GC8 02-19-2018 10:26 PM

1060 prices are stupid. Memory express has had them the last few day.. why risk Buying when it's 400ish new.

NCIX Richmond Auction - Office Furniture & Equipment, Warehouse Equipment - Page 2 of 16 - Able Auctions

idiots over paying.....

Manic! 02-20-2018 12:16 AM

You are not going to find deals in the small lots. That just people buying for personal use. The deals will be in the larger lots. They have tons of Cryorig stuff.

I count about a 1000 H5 CPU coolers. You can buy them by the case 9 per case or by the pallet 324 per pallet. The have 2 pallets. Why the hell would they have so much of the same cooler.

ime2006 02-20-2018 09:19 AM

Just calculated...

Same amount of gtx1070 mining on ETH vs ZCASH.

ZCASH makes 10% more.

Does it happen to you guys ??

There are other coins that are more profitable to mine then eth. The question is will those coins go up in price or will they drop in price.

probably why they outta business haha

Dragon-88 02-20-2018 02:25 PM

If you dont have the supply then the demand will purchase else where. The problem with electronics is that new parts come out yearly, so often that people will always want the new stuff and then the old stuff sits. Electronic margins aren't that great, 5-15% markup. Unless you're purchasing the volume that NCIX was doing which is why they were able to keep the prices low. But trying to sell old inventory is super hard.

bcedhk 02-20-2018 03:16 PM

at least the racks are a good deal

GC8 02-20-2018 03:31 PM

I purposely bid $1000 on the Titan Xp and MSI 1080ti. Knowing it will be outbid, now both are at $1250 now.. lol you have to be a savvy person to be on these types of site why dont they just pay retail? it blows my mind. Just today Langley Memory express had 4 evga 1080ti SC water cooled for $1189.99
why not pick up forsure brand new and warranty

smoothie. 02-20-2018 03:38 PM

so.. what coins to buy now?

VEN will be the new NEO

Razor Ramon HG 02-20-2018 10:29 PM

If you can resell the stuff, some of it seems alright, especially the Cryorig stuff.

Manic! 02-22-2018 09:17 AM
