Yep, you could do a unlimited gpu rig with it.

Just be careful, don't blow up power outlets. Lol

I think BC electrical code is 15 Amps. I calculated roughly 1500 Watts at the wall to trip a breaker.

I could be wrong though, I'm not an electrician.

Don't know if that make sense.

Amp x voltage = wattage.

Mine power outlet is 120v
So, mine goes 1800w max.
But you don't want max it out. Always leave 15% room for safety.

ime2006 02-05-2018 09:52 AM

Btw, everything dipped so much.
Roi goes super low with mining...ouch!!!

Don't know if I should keep building more rigs.

What about the motherboard. My Biostar BTC motherboard has 2 four pin connectors to provide power to the PCIE slots.

DragonChi 02-05-2018 10:59 AM

You can use any spare PSUs to power the cards. Either the pin method or buying a ATX switch.

SWEX (ATX Power Supply Power-On Switch)

Prices for coins have been historically low for this time of year, as I recall reading. It should make gains over the year.

Not to power the cards but to power the motherboard.

If you look at this Asus motherboard you will see it has 3 4 pin connectors on the bottom right.

Most EVGA PSU's come with a power on self tester. Let's you turn on the PSU with plugging in the 24 pin cable to the motherboard.

19pcie in one board!!!!

Where do you plug this thing to ??
240v plug convert ??

Hmm, I always thought that PCIe slots were always self powered by the MB, any additional power would be needed to be connected on the card itself. That's why the 16x part of the PCIe riser has a 4-pin (molex) connector.

Interesting that a -64% drop from the high is referred to as a dip...

Maybe I'm just old fashioned but a 5-10% drop is a dip... 10-20% is a correction... 20+ is a crash.

Drow 02-05-2018 02:41 PM

Its the technology, bro

ime2006 02-05-2018 03:49 PM

I'm confused, a month ago, it was at almost $17k. It's floating around $6k right now. Hasn't been at $6k since mid November.

PeanutButter 02-05-2018 09:15 PM

I tethered out of all my positions yesterday... Thank goodness. Saved me the heart ache.

I'm just going to hold tether for the time being.. though, from what i've been reading, holding tether is a bad idea too, in case it goes under...

Either way, you lose... fml

Verdasco 02-05-2018 09:37 PM

i think this is the end guys, this is it imo......

Manic! 02-05-2018 10:55 PM

Live stream of people talking about getting rekt. One guy in the states has 20 S9 miners that he has turned off because they cost more to run then they make. He also has some investors that gave them money and he was going to buy 100 1080ti's and start a farm. One person suggested renting an apartment that has free hydro and mine there.

This is not the end!!!

Razor Ramon HG 02-05-2018 11:08 PM

I would like to remind everyone that got in recently that thinks this is the end.. BrokeBack

Bitcoin was the same price back in November.

This is honestly a ripe time to sell your cards and invest in tech you believe in. You will see massive returns in the next few months.

Manic! 02-05-2018 11:59 PM

On the bright side mining difficulty should go down as less people mine.

Manic! 02-06-2018 12:32 AM
