I'm looking to buy a Ledger Nano S. Found a bunch BNIB ones on craigslist for $100. Seems like a good deal. Are there such things as fake ones?

NEVER buy any hardware wallets from anyone other than the manufacturer

Read the story below to get an idea why it's an absolutely stupid thing to even think of

Absolutely.

The original packaging for the Ledger Wallet I have even says that if the seal is broken when you receive it, you shouldn't accept it.

A brand new one from Amazon(legit) is only CAN$130.

Don't buy them from Amazon. ONLY buy them from Ledgerwallet.com

If you go to Amazon.ca and search for the nano s, it'll show you stock but it'll also say this:

Quote:

In Stock.

Want it tomorrow, May 4? Order it in the next 13 hours and 11 minutes and choose One-Day Delivery at checkout. Details

Sold by Household Trends and Fulfilled by Amazon. Gift-wrap available.
Just because it's sold on Amazon doesn't mean it's legit. It's being sold by Household Trends and Amazon simply ships on their behalf.

Ethereum just hit $1000 Canadian.

SkinnyPupp 05-04-2018 12:57 AM

I have been wondering what gpu miners will switch to once ETH difficulty becomes prohibitively high... Maybe a Cryptonight coin like Monero? Or will they stick with ETHash and just do another altcoin like Pirl or something :considered:

OK but that that doesn't really have to do with what I was talking about... There are people with tons of GPU power that will soon be 1/1000th as useful as they are once these ASICs hit the streets. Like ETH replaced Litecoin, after Litecoin replaced Bitcoin for GPU miners, I wonder who will replace ETH for these people

Yeah, you are right.

Mine is a legitimate one though. Doesn't come with a scratch card and generated the seeds when it booted up and I had to write down.

Gotta be more careful in the future.

https://www.quadrigacx.com with a RBC bank account for the best price. Once set up it's easy and fast to use.

Maybe i should give it a try...

I have been day trading on Coinsquare, Its volume is soooo smallllll.
Money flows so slow in there. I can only successfully trade 8 to 10 deals a day.

day trading needs money movement. If exchange site doesn't move fast enough = slow trades

Looks like Quadriga has way bigger volume !!!! wow...
Comparison attached.

Use einstein exchange they are local and if any issues you can go to their office. They do large otc trades as well.
I’ve bought volumes from them and friends as well
