TBH though this game tells us more about the Coilers than it does about the Canucks. Luckily they play 4 more times, so that should pad their record as usual. Thing is we still have to watch them get beat up by the Sharks, Kings, and Ducks. Hopefully they can at least be competitive against those teams.

Torts is correct. The CBC people do not know what they are talking about.

Do those idiots forget that this Stanley cup winning coach did coach on a skilled team in Tampa? Vinny, St. Louis, Brad Richards, and Dan Boyle killed teams with their offence.
Anybody remember those players blocking many shots with Tampa? I only remember the goals.

This coach can certainly improve our offence. 44 shots in a game. Over 20 shots in the first period. The guys were relentless on the forecheck.

Fortunately for us, the Ducks are overrated as hell and the Kings aren't great in the regular season.

As overrated as the Ducks are, and as shitty as the Kings are in the regular season, they seem to have the Canucks' number. We'll see if Torts can change things (because not much else on the team has changed)
