But Luongo played great in today's shootout. Canucks attempt were terrible.
Edler came in with so much speed. I don't know if that really made a difference or not,
because he usually goes 5-hole with that same move, although usually skates in much slower.
When a shooter skates in so fast like that, it's easy for the goalie to read that the shoot's not going to be changing directions,
unless the shooter has hands like Bure.

I don't know why Kesler tried to deke on his attempt.
The whole point of his "skate-in-fast-and-slow-down" setup benefits a shot attempt, not a deke...

I remembee this, he's used it twice and now he's stopped. Got no idea why cause lately his moves hsvr been horrible.

Does the team not practice enough on shootouts? I don't think it's a confidence issue with Kesler. He's been shooting the puck quite a bit this season, getting scoring chances with so much ice time that Torts is giving him.

lol, Kane doesn't use that setup to mess with the goalie's back in speed though.
He just skates in fast in the beginning cause it would take forever if he started dekeing from the center. :lol


He might as well begin all his shootouts from the slot to save time.
