For once, I do agree with this ownership/management way of telling Luongo about the Schneider trade face to face instead of Lu founding out for himself on TV.

If I was in Luongo's shoes, I would want the owner to tell me in person about what's going down on draft day instead of finding out myself on the TV with no advance notice.

Imagine if Luongo found out about the Schneider trade on draft day on TV without Aquilini or Gillis telling him anything in advance.

From what I understood previous, that is what happened. Its nice to hear they at least told him.

Telling Lu to his face was prob the only right thing the Canucks management did in dealing with this.

I knew and always have said that Schneider would be traded to the devils for henrique but atleast we got horvat who was also an OHL MVP.

Still funny how they tried to convince everyone that both players were happy 100% no problems, Lu fine as the #2 goaltender...yeah... if Lu was happy he wouldn't have considered looking for a way to void his contract (running away from that 40mil). He wanted to play pretty badly as a #1 instead of wasting a season sitting.

For obvious reasons the Canucks management played Schneider to up his value while letting Luu warm the bench with an ipad.

canucks fans and media here are brutal...we got our legs in a jimmy hoping Luongo doesn't leave but smelling blood if he makes one mistake this upcoming season.
Only difference is Luongo is fed up and doesn't give a flying fuk no more. He'll leave if theres one ounce of criticism coming from anyone.

I went back and forth with Botchford today on twitter because he told me before that Ghallagers report on Lu nixxing a trade to TO was 100% accurate and I didn't know what I was talking about

So today I tweeted at him saying so now that he's on national media saying both him and MG never once had a trade in place that Lu turned down and that Ghallager and the media clowns are just spewing lies he came back with "you can choose who you want to believe"

Essentially saying Lu's version on the matter is a lie

certain fans never know when to stfu. the media never shuts the fuck up because they have to sell something even when it's not news. but c'est la vie, this is life in a hockey mad market. the way things look, lu is 99.9% going to leave after this season one way or another and i don't blame him one bit.

i can only hope the fans continue to show him support for everything he has done for us and will do for us this up coming season. the reaction from fans when we all thought he was going to leave us was kind of surprising considering how many people constantly shit on him throughout the years. then all of a sudden it's "zomg lu is leaving? nuuuuu please stay i beg u". bandwagoners to the fucking max...
