i want to say i'm not surprised but I am. the way we gave this one away after being up 3-0 has to be an all-time low for the nucks.

Aquilini has clearly let his heart make some of the decisions with this team. The problem is that he just doesn't own the Canucks - he owns Rogers Arena and the buildings that will surround it. The Canucks may be a big asset, but they're just one in his portfolio of many. There's no way he's selling the team, unless someone offers him a ridiculous price for it. Ego is a powerful thing.

Aquilini has no heart for the fans, he's all about the dollars.

gotta have commentary

cow20xx 03-10-2014 09:34 PM

could someone make/post the tort facepalm in the 3rd period? if there's anything memorable about tort besides storming the flame's locker room, it's that moment.

nah 03-10-2014 09:40 PM

How about that sellout streak now? If it's not broken this year, then the numbers are just as accurate as the North Korean elections.

North Korea's Kim Jong-un gets 100% of 'yes' votes in election - World - CBC News

Not really racist! 03-10-2014 09:45 PM

"I take full responsibility for this loss." - Lack

He does not deserve this.... guy's confidence is probably half shot now and he's usually a calm guy, hopefully Lu gives him a call like he did last time and talks to him

Is it me or has Torts been benching guys more often (for whatever reason, terrible plays, penalties etc) during this terrible stretch leading to our already damaged top 6 to log even more minutes, it seems like we slow down in the 3rd period in a lot of the games too. Possible diminished trust, respect, and possible at this point? Bitching at his players got old after the first couple months, now its just stale. I'd imagine his never ending negative body language on the bench has some effect on the players too. Could be safe to say he's lost the room

inb4 "blaming the coach" again

PS: if you're gonna use the good ol, its all on the players retort, just press the fail button on the bottom right

rsx 03-10-2014 09:52 PM

Give the C to Kes or Bieksa. We don't need a bunch of "quiet" type leaders. Ugh.

Gumby 03-10-2014 09:55 PM

Imagine Torts resigns!

How come we don't just trade kesler for Crosby?

cause Gillis would be getting fleeced in that deal.

Harvey Specter 03-10-2014 10:05 PM

Supposedly Kesler left the bench with 15 seconds remaining in the game and you want to give this guy the C?

rsx 03-10-2014 10:06 PM

Didn't see the third period. But in terms of work ethic it seems those two work harder. And as per my previous posts, I'm not a kes or bieksa fan.

Harvey Specter 03-10-2014 10:11 PM

I would go with Bieska and Bieska seemed annoyed tonight when he was asked about something Kesler said. Bottom line is the entire team has gone south and its going to be a rough road back to the top.

You think he would have shown up for training camp if not for the Olympics? I have strong doubts about this. We all want to believe Lu took a hit personally and swallowed his pride to come back and play for Vancouver. But if all it took was the Heritage Classic 'snub' for him to ask out...

so............how bout them Whitecaps??....

This is impressive.

He's the type of player we need, who just walks in and score goals like that.

AzNightmare 03-10-2014 10:29 PM

WOW.... :fulloffuck:

LOL. I don't know what to say.
I boycott watching Cauncks games ever since after the Olympics, and I just use this thread for the latest Canuck news.

Was on this thread earlier after 2 periods. And was like hmmm :notbad:
Still decided to not watch the 3rd period though.

I just logged in now and decided to jump to the last page on this thread to read about the conclusion of the game, and saw the top post on this page...

Looks like it was a good decision to not waste my time watching. =/

Don't forget the Buffalo Sabres own the NY Islanders 1st round pick :joy:

bballguy 03-10-2014 10:39 PM

I went to the game today....bought tickets for 5th row, center ice....I'm not even mad...In fact, I'm impressed...It takes a certain unique type of suck to pull off what we did today, against a garbage team that just traded away most of its best players and has its best player injured...
