Did anyone hit up the outlet mall this weekend? Parking was a shit show, never saw soo much illegal parking at the end of the parking rows.

Yes, peach arch. Is truck crossing more lenient?

Sumas. Don't get me wrong, I've paid tax on as little as $75, walking. In the 30-40 times driving for the sole purpose to pick up a package I think I've paid twice. Once on $600, once on $200

Yes, that's what I noticed. Try it out and see how your luck is :)

I really like the newly renovated 264th (Lynden/Aldergrove) crossing. Not sure how it's like during peak times, but the times I've been through, it has been very pleasant.

Slowly making gains............... love that jump just before the long weekend. Sometimes you're the Louisville Slugger, sometimes you're the ball.....

literally stop and go at truck with nexus friday morning.

about 10 mins if that coming home last night aronnd 5:30 through truck with nexus.

brought back about $700 USD between the two of us so we were under the limit

the outlets about 45 min south of portland were really good. the deals they had on this weekend were killer.

Tip, less likely to get pulled in @ truck crossing vs peace arch. They care more about commercial vehicles @ truck crossing.

Have you ever smoked weed? Answer this question and you could be banned from the U.S. - Politics - CBC News

I always feel like answering with, "Have you? You look like a Woodstocker." LOL

But yeah, you'll never cross again if you answer yes.

Mary Jane mag in the car.............. what a moron. He should be banned from the US....................... for being an idiot.

Does recent Tsawwassen Mills traffic affect people driving to Point Roberts?
Not sure if I will go this weekend to the border if Highway 17 is all plugged up before 56th St.

Today there was a little bit of volume that started near Delta Port Way, but overall it wasn't too bad.

Anyone else experience the recent Nexus slowdowns on weekdays at Peace Arch?

Several times over the past two months, I've been crossing into Blaine for gas through Nexus and it's literally one lane open, a 20 minute line up almost as slow as the non-Nexus line, nearly one minute per vehicle. Weekday late afternoon and early evenings it's always one lane open. Not sure if it's the same at the the truck crossing.

There was once I was waiting in the Nexus line two weeks ago and all the cars behind me that changed lanes to the regular line, got into the US quicker than I did by a few cars :fulloffuck:

This one time a few weeks ago I was literally asked if I've ever been handcuffed, fingerprinted, arrested, put into jail, or charged for any kind of felony. I was thinking to myself, answer would probably be no to all those captain obvious since I have a Nexus :derp: First time ever since I've gotten my Nexus I've been asked questions like these :lawl:

FerrariEnzo 10-09-2016 10:53 PM

My family has Nexus but I do not.. I see that people can do walk-in to cross...
If my family take the car across and drop of me so that I walk through and they take the nexus line, will the board guards give me issues... has anyone here tried this?

You will run into problems quick. I would not suggest it

MG1 10-09-2016 11:50 PM

Yup, it says on the Nexus application form not to do this. You will be raked over the coals.... your family will lose their Nexus passes or worse.

Traum 10-10-2016 12:01 AM

Never been asked those crazy questions since having my Nexus, but when I go to Point Roberts on Sundays, there have been more than a few times when it took me longer to get through to the Nexus lane than a regular car in the slow lane -- and it has happened in both directions. It has also happened to me a few times at the Truck Crossing, again in both directions.

At Peach Arch, it has never happened going down to the States, but again, it has happened a few times coming back into Canada.

Okay, they will ask you how you got to the border. By bus? By vehicle and you parked on the Canadian side? Then they will ask you why you are crossing by foot. To pick up a package? To meet someone on the US side?

Which crossing are you planning to do this at?

Is it worth the risk?

If you do try it, let us know how it goes.

cdizzle_996 10-10-2016 06:06 AM

I do it with my girl friend all the time, just be honest with them.

With Nexus? I thought there's a line somewhere in Nexus' agreement that you shouldn't do that.
