Is there a jailbreak for iOS 7 for iP5?

Ulic Qel-Droma 11-20-2013 02:07 PM

quick question guys...

is there anyway to unlock an iphone 5s locked to bell... without waiting 3 months?

hows the process even work? what's stopping people from doing it?

im not talking about a jailbreak or some "smartass" way to do it... i want a real factory unlock.

can a bell employee just do it? do they have the power to? or can they get in trouble?

I though all iphones sold are unlock? No?

Spectre_Cdn 11-20-2013 03:52 PM

Not the ones bought through carriers. Only the iPhones from the Apple store are unlocked.

Hope this is right thread, updated newest ios 7.xxx on 4S iphone, noticed it drains battery more than before. I had ios 5 or 6 so I was use to that...

Googled online and ppl recommend to shut off some notifications, siri, speak auto, no bluetooth, etc...

Anyone recommend tips on saving battery, brightness is on average already.

Thanks!!

Only iPhones from apple bought outright are unlocked if your buying on carriers terms then it's locked.

Anybody experiencing one-way audio/dead air on incoming/outgoing calls on an iPhone 5C? (Bell/Telus.)

jaretron 11-30-2013 12:42 PM

Hey I've got a 2 month old 5c that I broke the screen on already, mac store said they would replace the phone for $279, replacing the screen is $230-$300. If I replace the screen it voids the warranty.

If anybody has any insight on how to get this fixed/replaced for cheaper it would be appreciated.

Mr.HappySilp 11-30-2013 01:21 PM

maybe try replacing it yourself? You can the parts pretty cheap online. Or go to crystal mall I am sure it will be cheaper than $200.

They finally optimized whatsapp for ios7. Took them long enough. Now its so pretty.

Anyone know if there are unlock codes out for the 5S? Other than carrier unlock like ebay and stuff

If anybody is curious, it was a software update that solved the problem and was the root cause.

Typo iPhone Keyboard Case

what do u guys think lol...

BaoTurbo 12-06-2013 11:22 PM

^Innovative I'll give them that. But now its 1 inch longer than it already is.

You're probably going to have this long term instead of switching from touch/keyboard. Now try typing while you're on public transit or while one hand is occupied. Just my thoughts...

just no....... :suspicious: It makes the phone too long and to be honest if I want a physical Keyboard I would get a BB. Not to mention there are mostly something like this in China for 10x less.

Still looking on Craigslist for a 5S. Found an unlocked one and went
to meet the guy at a Rogers store. He shows it to me and it turns out that
it's a iPhone 5 and not an S. What the hell ?! So any best practices on buying a
5S off Craigslist ? Obviously the seller must disable 'find my iPhone' but the whole
IMEI reporting is bad news. I mean , let's say you but a ip5S off Craigslist and then
the dude reports it stolen after a few hours. How does one combat that?

You can't really stop them but they gian nothing by doing that becasue they don't have the phone anyways. Unless they were asshole

Make sure ask them for the original receipt.

There was a thread on here where someone bought a phone and 2 weeks later the seller reported it stolen. The police calls the buyer and told them to bring the phone to the police station cause if try don't, they are in possession of stolen property. So the scamming seller got the buyer's money and the phone back.

This is why I'm only going to buy phones new or from someone I know. No more CraigsList phones for me

^ Only way I could see that working is if the owner had his buddy sell it and then report it stolen. I doubt someone could sell their own phone then have the police get it back. That's outright fraud and risky in the sellers part.

This is another reason why I do all my negotiations when buying/selling through text messages. Then you at least have some sort of record.
