If anyone has an invite for OP2, I'd gladly take it off you. Looking to get one.

SpartanAir 09-30-2015 12:16 PM

winson604 09-30-2015 03:27 PM

heisenberg 10-01-2015 09:25 PM

anyone get an ota update and know what it was about? tried googling didnt come up with much

Teriyaki 10-01-2015 09:56 PM

Likely the security patch?

bigzz786786 10-01-2015 10:26 PM

Are you refering to update 2.1? If so, improved back camera in terms of now able to have manual mode and the shutter speed is really fast now. Also minor bug fixes for a lot of third party apps and i also noticed that when i stream an anime it doesnt randomly stop anymore.

heisenberg 10-01-2015 11:18 PM

^ it was the camera update...

on a side note, anyone remember the double tap to sleep on the status bar?

is that in the opt or am i blind?

bigzz786786 10-02-2015 09:27 AM

^dude i was thinking that for the longest time! I cant find it lol. As of right now you can double tap the top while on the lock screen, or you can set one of your buttons to double tap to sleep

steel_chain619 10-13-2015 03:11 PM

LOL, it's for the best! After taxes, you're looking at almost $700 for the OP2 and if you haven't already, go read their forums! There's one problem after another and their customer support is absolute garbage. Not to mention that they're still having supply issues 3 months after launch of their "not so flagship killer" device.

To sum it up, this phone is practically the same price as a Note 5 and yet it has a worse screen, finger print reader issues, slow issues, poorer game performance, overheating, no wireless charging, no NFC, slow camera software, and the worst of all? USB C. Like seriously, I have no clue what they were thinking on the OP2. Even the OPO people don't really want it! Just get a Note 5 or a 6+ Edge and don't look back, I didn't! :fuckyea:

bigzz786786 10-13-2015 05:11 PM

^not sure where your getting the 700 price tag from. Got mine for 680 with screen protector, black wood backing, also got 3 cases and 2 glass screen protectors as backup. I think thats still a better deal than a note 5 at 980 after tax

thegentleman 10-13-2015 06:18 PM

Looking for an invite if someone has one they can spare.

sonick 10-13-2015 07:59 PM

^ pm'd

SpartanAir 10-14-2015 09:50 AM

Got an invite this morning, PM me if interested.

Think I'm gonna pull myself off the mailing list. I think I'm done with OnePlus.

What put you off the phone?

boibuddha 10-14-2015 11:46 AM

I've had the OP2 for a week now, coming from a Samsung Galaxy S3.

I have a couple of gripes with the phone.

1) The vibration setting is fairly weak. I have my phone on vibrate most of the time so this was a letdown. Plus I couldn't find a strength setting.

2) No WiFi direct makes it painful to transfer files between devices. Third party apps work around this but are still nowhere near as capable as it was on my S3.

The only fingerprint issue I have is the tempered glass screen protector lifts your finger away just enough that you need to apply more pressure to push it onto the sensor.

Search my username in this thread for all the details a few pages back, but I went and copied the bulk of my posts here:

Spoiler!

TL;DR

OnePlus hardbricked after routine update, dealt with the horrendous OPO support for weeks and took 2 months to get a replacement.

Lesson: Don't buy a phone you can't take in to a store, unless you have a good backup phone. The $$ savings is not worth the stress and headache that could have been avoided by ponying up a bit more cash for a more reliable, repairable phone.

Sad to hear that about the vibration. That was a big problem for me with the OPO, could never feel it vibrate in my pocket. Surprised they didn't fix that.

Gh0stRider 10-14-2015 08:15 PM

anyone need a invite?

ImportPsycho 10-15-2015 03:59 PM

OnePlus is asking you to donate your Galaxy S6 or Note 5 for a OnePlus 2
OnePlus' latest contest lets 50 foolish people trade their Samsung flagship for a OnePlus 2 | Android Central

in case anyone couldn't wait or get invite and just settled with S6 or Note 5
here is your chance, but hurry only 50, very limited!

:fuckthatshit:

SiRV 10-15-2015 08:12 PM

I'd give them my S4 if I could... that'd probably be more of a fair trade
