updated CM12, now my touchscreen is laggy and not 100% accurate. from what i read is both a software and hardware issue?? |
Came to a realization today... The "touchscreen responsiveness issue" only happens when the phone is hot. Case in point, at work today the phone was sitting on my desk (my work has A/C) and ran perfectly all day. Get off work, drive with sunroof open with phone in pocket - my car doesn't have A/C so the phone got quite warm - and the issue came back. Took the phone inside my house, let it cool down and the issue went away again. Let it sit outside in the sun for half an hour, issue came back... each time, I had no background apps and didn't use the phone very much. My guess is that the "glue" or adhesive used on the digitizer/screen isn't quite strong enough to hold up to the heat. Maybe it's not an "update" issue as much as it is a "summer" issue... just my observations though, I am not a "tech" person at all. |
New synaptics touchscreen firmware in next CM12.1 nightly. : oneplus ^ i agree that the heat might be an issue, but from the reddit and OPO forum it seems like the admins have found a fix for the CM11 to CM12 fix. I am going to try to update to the CM12.1 tonight and see if it will solve the touch screen lag. |
does anyone get the problem where they cant wake up their phone? i cant do double tap to wake or press the lock button to wake the phone up. i can see the notification light blinking, so the phone wasnt off or anything. the only way for me to fix it is to either reset the phone with the buttons or else get someone to call me and right before the call comes through, ill be able to wake it up. |
|
you like it alot because it has a somewhat vibrant background? thats nice. how bout saying why? i think that would be more helpful. |
my wife's OPO is updated to the latest. her phone keeps getting the pop up. its happening every few mins. Unfortunately, Google Play services has stopped. anyone have any ideas how to fix this? |
So many bugs and issues with CM12S and Oxygen OS... I decided to go back to CM11 for now and things are back to normal. |
What other bugs are you experiencing? The only one I'm experiencing is the one where my phone won't wake up, its not turned off either because the notification light is blinking. Running CM12, stock phone. |
one plus is a piece of shitt, ever since i bought it. now it lags so hard when the phone is hot, and no i did not leave it under the sun. it just heats up by itself. I cant even type anymore, I would have to turn it off and let it cool down. |
wow that sucks. |

You can try this, Im using katinatez's Temasek's lastest build and it doesnt have this issue.. Problem: Google Play Services FC on location change Solution: Search on these folders for the APK Delete apk and libs inside those folders. /system/priv-app/PrebuiltGmsCore.apk /data/app/com.google.android.gms-1/base.apk |
hydrogenOS is released yesterday. anyone planning to try it? review is good as for miui6, i havent ran into any touchscreen issues, nor overheatings, battery still lasts 2 days. no complaints |
im on color os coming from slimkat. I don't find anything wrong with it except the initial play services keeping the phone awake all the time. That was fixed with a patch, but the battery is used up pretty aggressively if you're using your phone. Otherwise a snappy os |
upgraded to cm12 and now I cant connect to LTE..only 3G and i cant connect to wifi at work but at home its OK i regret updating this pos phone |
^^ try looking at the network's APN maybe you need to manually put the APN back in? |
or go into the phone settings and manually force LTE.. *#*#4636#*#* > Phone Info > set to LTE/GSM or LTE/WCDMA (I use this) |
thanks guys. It changed my APN so i had to change it back. I also selected LTE/WCDMA. Much appreciated! |
Updated to cm12.1 nighty build and now the phone no longer overheats and touchscreen is working perfectly fine now. Although my battery life is suffering.. Sigh.. Just can't ever seem to win |
running temasek rom + ak kernel + mohit's gapps with no fc's, great battery life, touchscreen issues gone compared to stock rom. dropped only 8% on wifi while I slept for ~10 hours. using greenify etc. as well. dirty flashed the last 5 times as well. here's my take: you get exactly what you pay for with the oneplus, and a bit more in my opinion. if you don't know how to tinker with android, get a major brand or go apple. the cx support is horrible with the oneplus, but the dev community is quite big. now that the nexus is so expensive, i'd say this is the poor man's nexus. after you flash similar custom rom on similar spec'd hardware, the differences between a major brand and the oneplus is subtle in my experience. if the note4 was $400USD at the time (it is on ebay refurb now), no way would I get the oneplus. I waited so long for lollipop and oxygen. it was just crap. the second i switched to a custom rom and kernel, it was the latest and greatest. if you run into a problem, post a log and the developer responds quite promptly. same with requested features. note that this is on XDA, not the oneplus forums. |

my screen started displaying a white band all around the edge of the screen, something wrong with my panel i think =/ and the responsiveness issue is random. |
New firmware out - just got the OTA. Supposed to include the new touchscreen firmware as well as Bluetooth fixes. |
