I've always had a love and hate for folding stocks can't wait till the shop mcx shows up |
^ how come you didn't text me back about the CZ? I was just about to give INT another shot |

https://www.ipsc.org/pdf/RulesHandgun.pdf I'm guessing that the LWB will not be eligible for production div, but again, best to ask an IPSC rules person. |
I know there's factory /stock class once you start modifying I'm pretty sure you go to open then that's where all the nice expensive toys come out. save your money and use it for ammo, upgrades don't make you a better shooter it comes down to trigger time. upgrades do help like better sights and trigger but get the fundamentals down first. |
You guys ready to become instant criminals? Federal Liberals to hand final firearms approval back to RCMP bureaucrats | National Post |
Decided to try another set of grips on my MKIII. These are the same thickness as the stock grips for this new style and my initial impression is that it feels smaller in my hand. These may be for sale soon after their first range visit. http://i459.photobucket.com/albums/q...psycv5w5rf.jpg http://i459.photobucket.com/albums/q...psgm7svutz.jpg http://i459.photobucket.com/albums/q...psvdogzqpx.jpg http://i459.photobucket.com/albums/q...psghorpp22.jpg |
After I cleaned, reassembled, and swapped grips on my MKIII, I mounted my brand new diopter on my very old Swiss K31. I'm looking forward to learning to shoot with a diopter. Not sure my shoulder is, though. http://i459.photobucket.com/albums/q...psqpxbilpm.jpg http://i459.photobucket.com/albums/q...psvqwqid2h.jpg http://i459.photobucket.com/albums/q...psgfwjag4s.jpg |

One quick look at the stats shows that criminals have always used guns. But also that firearms related robberies have gone down in the same time that gun ownership became more popular in Canadian society. Firearms and violent crime in Canada, 2012 I don't believe that the we should have a national police force. I also don't believe that giving the RCMP the power to approve what firearms we can own is a good idea. It won't make Canada any safer. All it's going to do is limit the type of firearms that we, the law abiding gun owners, can own. As Mr. Horse used to say, "no sir, I don't like it" Quote:
Spend a few hours a week at the range working on specifics, and you'll see how much better your shot and ability to acquire targets can get. |
Don't get me started on the topic. Canada is at a 43 year low for gun crimes. 2/3 of all gun murders are committed in Manitoba by male aboriginals, yet the Libs want to blame an object and not the social issues. Plus they want women's groups to help decide what guns the rest of the law-abiding citizens should own. That would be like asking me to decide what medical procedures should be legal in the country. And if 2/3 of the victims are aboriginal males - shouldn't aboriginal men be on that panel? I listened to an interesting interview on CBC radio this morning, it was the mother of one of the boys that committed the Columbine shooting. She just released a new book and all the proceeds are going towards mental health issues - the crux of what is the problem outside of criminal behaviour. I can dig up but I read another very interesting author that has written books from both sides of the 'gun control' situation in the USA; he approaches the topic with complete open mindedness and uses up to date data. In the USA over the last 20 years, what they can track (as some states have different laws), law abiding citizens purchased 200-300 million new guns and the death rate by guns has been cut in half. Flies in the face of those that suffer from media fear that more guns = more deaths. It's more like, less opportunities, no jobs, more criminals = more deaths. |
looking for a deal on a SpectreDR in 5.56 if you guys see any let me know :) |

Dropping so much money on the sight. Why not just get an Aimpoint? With the money you saved, you could literally buy another AR. Or better yet, you can buy a p226. |

Heard you should spend just about the same amount for a good glass/scope as the rifle it's on. If I score a MCX in the future I could always throw the DR on there. Whats this Aimpoint you referring to? |

There was an article in the G&M about a family shooting day in Mission. There was a small group of individuals who were wearing hoodies with a logo that had a swastika on it, and the name "the mad nazis". Now, the article was written by someone who isn't what I would call a committed firearms owner. But the fact is that this sort of thing doesn't make us look very good. But at least 3/4 of the replies were defending it. Have a look for yourself. CanadianGunNutz.com |
aimpoint for me or trijicon mro I remember the days when i used to dream of expensive setups now im just realistic and put more into ammo and time in the range. you can have the nicest setups but if you have no money for ammo or time for the range it just becomes sexy decorations. |

Practicality is what I generally go for when getting a sight. Aimpoint PRO or any of their other models are a good buy. The PRO being the most cost effective. |
thanks for the feedback guys :) gonna look into the aimpoint pro. also looking into a Mepro M21 that mint spectre for 1700 is solid though lol retail is like 2400+ |
I'm contemplating a vortex strike eagle, wonder if anyone has experience with variable scopes on semi autos. I've always ran red dots or irons maybe I should mix it up. |

It's the most obvious solution here. |

we should all meet up for a range day in the future! |
I've been shooting with some law enforcement and ert guys lately. I'd have to meet people first before shooting with them, you can't trust everyone you meet on the Internet. that being said I've met some cool people in this thread and some of them have awesome collections and are tight lip about them, some others like to tease us haha. here is the last few range trip cool with the undercover ccw EDIT ** will upload these later** also cgn seems to have a lot of keyboard commandos |

It's kind of the same analogy as why someone would spend money or mod their car to something way more powerful than it needs to be for everyday driving. Or why someone would get a Rolex over a cheapo $10 watch. Forgive the typos. Writing on a phone. |
