Would love a Corvette myself as well. Lady next door has a Z06 Corvette from a divorce settlement and I took it out for a spin around the neighbourhood - so nice to drive haha |
The lady or the vette was? Spoiler! |
The C5 Z06 is serious bang for the buck performance. I've driven one and they're a lot of fun, but yes the interior feels cheap. Nice wheels and stance and they still have a great road presence and turn a lot of heads. Parts are cheap and EVERYWHERE. The hatchback version is the better looking and rarer variant as well. $14k for that..... what a deal. Not surprised it's gone already even for an auto. https://www.pkautodesign.com/wp-cont...ave-wheels.jpg |

IIRC for the C5, the Z06 was the hardtop coupe only. Also agree on the bang for the buck part. can't beat the performance at $30k or so. |

C5 Z06 was only available in the lighter weight fixed roof coupe body style and only in 6 speed manual. I believe they sold a non z06 frc in 99-2000 but otherwise if you see a c5 coupe then it's a Z06. |
Keep the Corvette train going.....American Car but this looks like a pretty solid deal for what looks like a clean C6 2005 Corvette Coupe - Manual - $25,900 https://images.craigslist.org/00T0T_...t2_600x450.jpg |
the price of base c6's is basically unchanged in the past 5-8? years - unlike every other sports car that's going to the moon. My neighbour got in and out for 25k at least 5 years ago great value - i'd rock that yellow car. Maybe black headlight housings and a set of cloth Recaro sportsters. Some kind of alternate steering wheel. It would be a pretty nice spot to sit after that. |
^ Cain is salivating |
c5 and c6 vettes prices are up about 25% the last few years. Pre covid you could get a c6 for $15G. I Don't know if prices are up due to covid or the fact that the C8 went mid engine and auto. in 2010 used c6 z06 were 45G, the low point was pre covid. There was a yellow 09 locally for 33G. You want an '09+, it has the bigger axles. This one had all the headwork done, felt faster than my truck, but it needed some minor body and paint so I passed on it. For the c5 Z06, 01+ had the ls6 over the hatches and earlier FRC ls1. I was close to getting c6 for my 416", in the end I figured I'd grenade the trans and rear end. I'm better off with a conventional transmission and rear end setup. |
I see he’s raised the price 2K and added “please have financing in place” Spoiler! |
lol - always buy the seller. bush league shit will cost him what should have been an easy sale |
been looking for a ~5 year old used pickup but holy the prices are insane these days, even for domestic, getting to a point where buying new makes more sense is there a shortage in supply or something? |
COVID ppl not wanting to take transit, plus more excess cash, cheap borrowing. Prices everywhere are increasing. |

At this point, I'd say it totally make more sense to buy new than to buy used. But the caveat there is -- there may not be a new vehicle available for you to buy, and you might have to wait for a new one for quite some time. |

That’s why it makes more sense to buy new. They’ve made it that way by controlling the market. Win-win for them. |
dam just like bicycles then, new supply is non-existent also so used prices skyrocket |

^ At that price and age ... I'd be surprised if it didn't have an oil leak. |
