kchan, if you short shift at 2k, I'm sure your car will stay below the sound limit. :troll:

honestly i wish they wouldnt, its a lot of headaches on the organizers side compared to only allowing guys who know the course, have properly setup cars and a decent amount of experience. even then random things do go wrong like a throttle body breaking off but they know where to pull over safely and how to follow the flags. i wouldnt be comfortable running with anyone who hasnt at least done 3 mission days before heading out to the ridge.

Don't forget at one point you were new as well. Can't get those 3 track days in without being new at SOME point. :derp:

white rocket 03-17-2015 12:06 PM

^^depends on the event I suppose. I'm guessing that these TSSxFFD events are more like lapping days. Is that a safe assumption? The classroom session and track etiquette is a must for anyone new so if this particular day doesn't provide that then it could be a disaster waiting to happen on course.

For those that have been to a track before and just want seat time then a n00b session will interfere with that. Not hating, just saying.

boatcaptain 03-17-2015 12:37 PM

i have done 0 track day at mission :(

trollguy 03-17-2015 12:41 PM

The fact that your first event was on ORP make you special.

boatcaptain 03-17-2015 12:59 PM

uncle chan said if no bike register before april 1st. there will be 3 groups!!

kchan 03-17-2015 02:13 PM

yep if we do not get 20 bikes signed up by april 1st, there will be 3 groups

as for first timers

they must contact me beforehand - and i would be assessing them based on their actual experience and the availability of an instructor

smoothie. 03-17-2015 02:24 PM

I'm decent in need for speed, what group would I be in?

heard you're 1/2 of the ridge rally championship team for 2013, had front row seats to your abilities. I'd feel safer with your presence at the track

boatcaptain 03-17-2015 02:49 PM

for the first timer. please do not do the following

v67gsr 03-19-2015 10:27 AM

He could only do that because drove a GTR. He would have crashed if driving any other car.
