I took advantage of that deal to do a Ridge day in two weeks, can't wait!
Don at Hooked On Driving has been super helpful too.

i'm sure it's okay if the spectators are loud. the cars themselves are pretty loud usually.

westopher 08-19-2014 09:22 AM

Looking forward to seeing you there. I managed to get the wife on board for it to be our anniversary trip and spend a few days down in portland. Stoked!

dared3vil0 08-19-2014 09:29 AM

Underscore do you have that extra code available? Buddy of mine would be happy to buy it off you, wants to go LOL.

underscore 08-19-2014 09:49 AM

I sure do, I'm waiting to hear back from a friend who wants to come but if he takes too long or declines then your buddy can have it if he doesn't mind waiting a day.

dared3vil0 08-19-2014 10:32 AM

That should be fine, let me know asap though haha! And thx.

Note if anyone else has a code id be happy to buy it if Underscore's buddy ends up buying his! LMK!

Today's event at Mission was a great learning experience.

I was in the novice group but the instructors let us free fairly early in the morning.

I'd really like more stopping power but I was only able to start pushing my car during the fourth and fifth heat. Pads held up surprisingly well considering they're an "autocross" pad though I pussed out and never broke much later than the "4th" marker.

A couple pictures I took:

Anyone know of any nice hotels near Oregon Raceway Park? Really don't want to stay in the Ghetto Inn LOL.

underscore 08-19-2014 10:15 PM

There's a huge list on the ORP website, and there's camping at the track I think.

dared3vil0 08-19-2014 11:20 PM

If Underscore's buddy ends up taking his extra code, anyone want to buy a code? $150. (Friend of mine wants to go but i already split codes with Westopher)

I stayed at The Dalles Inn which if I recall, was at least 45 minutes away.. lol

There is a motel much closer to the track but I dont even remember the name. Just remembered the lot was full of Porsches (it was a tiny motel)

You were pretty fast out there

My car was misfiring and went into limp mode twice... I had to take it easy going around after that. Had the car checked out today and it needs new coil packs and the spark plugs are done too :(

Well, at least you know what's wrong with the car now. And hopefully, the problem has now been taken care of. :)

Reminds me of the time I first met a good friend of mine at Mission. He was in his modded 335.. limp mode happened more than a few times.. Now he's driving an E36 M3... :o
