I am due for tires on my E82 before the fall/winter hits. Currently running Michelin PS AS3+, was planning on just getting the new PS AS4, however the CC3 Sport is intriguing.

Dunno if they'll be available before the rain hits though. Any insider info on the ETA of them?

trollface 07-02-2025 03:11 PM

The dealer said I have to buy a set of CC2, CC1, and PS4 before I get an allocation for CC4S.

Also I have to agree not to sell it within 6 months.

bcrdukes 07-02-2025 06:10 PM

Are those purchases rebate eligible?

RabidRat 07-28-2025 09:48 AM

Nooooooooo.

Yeah... I'm still driving around on snow tires on the Highlander, this is not gonna work haha. Gonna have to figure out something else.

RabidRat 07-28-2025 11:32 AM

The dream of CC3 Sport is officially over for me.

...I just put in an order for Falken Wildpeak A/T4W on replica TRD wheels LOL

Continental just released a new All Weather Tire - about time!

Continental SecureContactAW

Might put a set on the parent's new used ML350.

You do know Michelin is French right :suspicious:

I think his hatred of Porsche is clouding his judgement and critical thinking. Let him have his moment.

I know it's just the tail end of summer but thought I would ask if there are any deals for winter tires at the moment?

EDIT: I did make a post last year beginning of the fall season where you were able to stack a discount on PMC tires with a money back rebate from Continental

Next big promo push is probably in or around September long weekend. Otherwise, keep tabs on RedFlagDeals for promotions.

PMCTire did a stackable promotion via eBay / Continental just this spring - there were some good deals but I didn't need new tires. I did help a friend go through the whole process as he never bought tires online before.

EvoFire 08-19-2025 09:49 AM

I do need new winters on the M3, so if anything comes up, heads up please. I'm a odd size though 255/45/18

Gumby 08-19-2025 11:21 AM

I'm also on the lookout for a winter wheel/tire combo for my HI5... 235/55R19

underscore 08-19-2025 08:37 PM

The last time I got winters + rims from PMC they had a deal where the mount and balance was free. So it was basically an extra $100 off plus what I was able to sell my old rims & tires for.

bcrdukes 08-19-2025 08:56 PM

I like how everyone is so proactive!

twitchyzero 08-19-2025 09:01 PM

a review i saw with one guy working with michelin said cc3 is an evolution where cc3 S is the next-gen compound/design etc

but yeah, seems more like 2026/2027 season NA debut and they're gutting the 17" options, boo

So the corvette forum (mostly all old expired geezers that drive their 400hp cars to get groceries) are anti putting snow tires on corvettes.

Need RS "expert advice":

The above would also give me one more excuse to take it up north for ice racing

bcrdukes 08-19-2025 09:55 PM

Since you failed me for suggesting you guys were being proactive, and here you are asking if you should buy winter tires, I highly recommend getting winter tires for your old man car haha

underscore 08-19-2025 10:56 PM

I suspect balancing a tire that's skinny enough for good winter grip while still being wide enough to handle the power may be difficult.

We’re not being proactive, even the rich users on RS enjoy getting deals!

Personally, I don't see the point of getting ultra wide winter tires for a high torque RWD sports car. A set of tires would probably cost 80% of what a winter beater would cost you anyway. It isn't about whether you should drive your Vette on cold, wet roads. It's purely a matter of costs and practicality.

(And do they even make any decent winter tires for a Vette?)

I'd vote for a winter beater.
